Gideon's 300: Lord am I one? | Judges 7

This is all based on your improper applications of Old Testament verses that were directed at Israel. You really need to find a good Bible commentary. Better yet, download a book on systematic theology from Amazon.

You seem upset. Im just walking through scripture and journaling my thoughts...

Also what I said seems consistent with new test, Matthew 7:13-14, or the parable about final judgement in Matthew 25:31-46.

Respectfully,
Both of these scriptures seem to reflect the implication hinted at in Judges 7, namely that not all "followers" are genuine.

To deny this terrifying warning and/or to imply that the OT simply doesnt apply to us, I think is mistaken.

Also, what specifically did I say that doesnt apply to us today?

Is all scripture God breathed, or not? Is all scripture good for teaching, rebuking and correcting or not?

I dont know about you but I do not take for granted that I am living each day as God intended, therefore I ask myself most days, am I falling away? Not because he can ever dropp me, but because I might choose to live in accordance with His will or not. This seems a healthy question for all followers of Christ IMO, particularly in light of Judges 7, and/or Matthew 7.

Matthew 7:21-23 English Standard Version (ESV)

I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

@itisfinished you won't get anywhere with @barncat. He is a hate-filled man that trolls all of the Christian threads telling everybody else how wrong they are in what they post, he will never admit when he is wrong even when he is presented with facts. He's even called me a liar on several occasions even though I provided proof that showed I was telling the truth and in fact he was lying. Congratulations you've met Steemit's number one Christian troll.

p.s. thanks for the comment. I appreciate the feedback, even if Im not sure I agree with your point. This stuff is important to get right, and so Im happy to discuss with fellow believers.
