Today is a great day that the Lord has made , join me and let praise his name.

The general account of psalm 14 teaches us about the Babylonian captivity. The author probably lived beyond the Euphrates. He describes here, in fervid colours, the iniquity of the Chaldean. He predicts their terror and destruction he consoles himself with the prospect of a speedy return from his exit and hopes soon in witness the reunion of the tribes of Israel and Judah. It may be applied to unbelievers in general.

There have been some, not many who have denied the existence of God. There are other who, without absolutely denying the Divine existence :that is they acknowledge a being of infinite power, but give him nothing to do, and no world to govern.
The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.
The fool used is a Hebrew word 'nabel' which means to be 'senseless '. The word Senseless in the English means ' not awake' having no awareness.
The psalmist discerned the natural man who is having no light(that despises wisdom) is a fool.

The account of Genesis chapter 11 talks about who men in their own wisdom build a tower in Babylon and make name for them selves anytime the foolishness of man is at peak, they make name for themselves dispensing the wisdom the light of God's word.
The foolishness of man is based on not understanding God. Man was created in the image of God not essence. But the foolish man sees that he is God in essence and not in image and likeness.

Titus 1:6. Says they profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient and unto every good work reprobate. They foolish man says he know God but dispenses God in his work. That is in his dealing.
