How do we react to difficulties?

There are times when it is too easy to react, for example when we are criticized: these are times when we should pause and pray asking God for wisdom to be able to respond or not to respond.

An angry man stirs up strife;
But he who is slow to anger pacifies strife.

Proverbs 15:18

Now let us remember the times when a conflict has occurred in our lives. How have we reacted? How should we have reacted? The best way to react to a certain situation, especially when it is a crisis, is in prayer to the Lord and in those moments we can ask Him for the following:
We can ask God for spiritual discernment since He knows us and knows the problem perfectly, He understands everything long before it happens, God also allows us to understand the conflict and with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit we can have a better view of the situation.
It is also necessary to ask God for rest and respite in His care, let us remember that our human nature is reactive, it seeks to react to defend ourselves or to do justice in what we believe is fair. But before reacting it is important that we focus our attention on God and live the situation in peace with confidence.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 14:27

We can ask God in prayer that the Holy Spirit give us words of wisdom, just as it happened with Moses before Pharaoh, God can do it for us too, if we do not know how to use the correct word at the right time the Holy Spirit will help us, let us ask God for this ability to not speak hastily, let us trust that the Holy Spirit will even guide our words and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord;
Guard the door of my lips.

Psalms 141:3

God has called us and wants us to represent Him in every situation just as the Lord Jesus Christ Himself has done, always depending on His Father. When we find ourselves in a situation in which we receive criticism or accusations, let us focus our gaze and heart on God, allowing Him to guide us in the response or reaction that we will have. It is possible!
