God has sent his Holy Spirit to dwell in the hearts of each of God's children and in this way we have the guidance and comfort to help us in the most difficult moments.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the afflictions of Christ abound in us, so our comfort also abounds through Christ. 6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort and salvation, which is accomplished by the enduring of the same afflictions that we also suffer. 7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that just as you are our partners in our sufferings, you will also be our partners in our comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Normally when we talk about comfort, we are simply talking about some relief from suffering or from a very desperate moment, but if we see the definition of comfort from God's vision, we are talking about this as a tool that serves to teach us. This is because in difficult moments we can mature spiritually, that is to say: these are moments where we put to the test and exercise faith and trust in God's promises. Many times we hope that God will take away our problems but the reality is that it is not always like that but rather He gives us the strength and encouragement, the ability and fortitude to overcome each one of the difficulties.
God in his omnipotence and wisdom has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in each one of us so that it may be our source of power and wisdom. In those moments when we are going through very dark times when we think we can no longer bear it, the Holy Spirit of God whispers saying that we can because it is no longer our strength. It is the strength of God through his Holy Spirit. This is the balm of encouragement and healing from God, his Holy Spirit that gives us the strength we need.
The Holy Spirit of God directs our lives in such a way that in those moments that we need to hear the voice, observe something or simply remember some text of the promises of God that at that very moment are necessary to comfort us, regain strength and continue, we must read the word of God as a way to listen to God and the voice of the Holy Spirit, in those crucial moments the Holy Spirit brings to our minds biblical verses in which they will comfort us, in the moments that we need most God acts through his Holy Spirit.
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness, content with such things as you have; for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you;
