Another classic conservative SirKnight rant titled: And they call it 'progress.'

thank you very much sir for this ranting. of late i had the same thought so i wrote the post "in the olden days things were different in Africa".

Every time i take a look out there all i see is a generation fast losing their identity and core values that brought us thus far as a people which make me wonder what we will be passing to 4th or 5th generation to come if we have ignorantly let slip these values.
< progress, i don't think so.
the bible speaking said "thou shall not remove the ancient landmark ". so it is not progress if it makes us forget who we are and acting out who we are not.

those days Christianity in Africa was a force to be reckoned with; families served God with fear, trembling and consciousness of the fact that he is God and not a man but now even in HIS presence (church) anything goes.
thanks @sirknight nice post

I am sorry I missed your post on this topic Eddyson. I thought may have just been a western phenomenon. Interesting to learn that this attack on Christianity is going on worldwide. It is not the first time in history either. SK.

well the church in Nigeria is under a magnifying lens. just recently the National assembly in Nigeria debated the taxation of churches because according to them "it is more or less a business centre" but the mosque was excluded. they even almost made a law forcing all general overseers that have been in the helm of affairs for 20yrs to resign their position in the church. things are spinning out of control as far as Christianity and humanity is concern.

it is almost becoming like the days of Paul the prosecutor
it is disheartening @sirknight

Could we please get a post on this matter eddyson.

@tikhub can you add anything on this matter?

SK.

Sorry SK, I just saw this now. Eddyson is not far from the truth. There are 3 major factors to responsible for issues like this,

  1. The way and manner the religious leader handle the gospel - Imagine over here in Nigeria Some pastors own schools their parishioners cannot afford the fees for their kids.

  2. Natural law/Bible prophecy : Everything that goes up must come down, people now the gospel too casual, it is really had to find a committed Christian around this days. Over here in Nigeria, u find churches every 10 -15ft walking distance. people are now taking Christianity for the fun of it, and like it is one of those things. So yes, THIS IS NO PROGRESS AT ALL
