BECOMING FRUITFUL

A seed passes through a lot of processes before bearing fruits.It must wrestle and overcome the hard soil.To the seed,the soil is an   unconducive environment.It is rough,harsh and sometimes hotter and sometimes cooler than normal.All theses are forces that kill the seed.The death of the seed,however leads to its germination.As the seed grows,it must continuously contend with the storms, frosts ,snows,sunlight,insects,predators and unfavourable weather.

“The Lord our God spake unto us…..Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:Turn you..and go…and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers…”Deut 1:6-8

If the seed has a vocal cord, perharps, people will hear its weeping,cries and groaning.This is a picture of what it takes to get to the top.Pleasure must give way to pains before abundance of pleasure.
PRAY: Lord,give me the grace to bear whatever pain that will lead to my future in jesus name.

“…If a man should cast seed into the ground;and should sleep,and rise night and day,and the seed should spring and grow…..for the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself;first the blade,then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.”Mark 4:26-28

Not all the seed sown by the farmers eventually grow to maturity to the level of bearing fruits.Many seeds die and never germinate,because they don’t have ‘life’ in them.Natural disasters,infertility of the land,human and animal marauders and many more contribute in no small way to a good harvest.Again when the plants shoot out flowers,the embryonic fruits cannot come up until the female egg is sexually or asexually pollinated by the male sperm of the plant.In microprocesses,the farmer sleeps and rises night and day.It takes God who doesn’t sleep to make bountiful harvest.
“And God blessed them, and God said here unto them, Be fruitful,and multiply,and replenish the earth and subdue it:and have dominion…”Gen 1:28
Only the fruit-yielding plants make the farmers happy.At harvest time,the farmer decides which of the fruits,now with another round of seeds,he would store,eat or sell.No matter how efficient a farmer,some fruits will escape being harvested.Few of them would have become rotten.Quite a number would be eaten by birds.So,It is a double delight for such few seeds that are fortunate enough to go back for another round of sowing next season.Meaning that the original seed ‘gave birth’ and its children are to ‘give birth’ again!!.Only very few plants had their fruits becoming seeds that last many generations.May your fruitfulness last forever In Jesus Name.Amen.
