I just heard a sad news about how a man committed suicide because "he got tired of life". In today's world, we see so many people with suicidal thoughts, depressed and out of place. Depression is a not something new in our society and The Holy Bible is an encyclopedia of knowledge that guides actions as christians and it is more common that most of us are aware of. Depression affecta millions of people, thereby affecting both christians and non-christians.
People suffering from depression experience sadness, angry, fatigue and the likes. Depression is caused by so many factors like challenges, setbacks or even psychological problems.

Dealing with Depression:

Living in a depressed state is really bad to cope but as christians we already have a guideline in the Holy Bible. The Bible teaches us to always live in Joy and happiness in Phillipians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!

Also, staying in the Word will help because there are scriptures for everything in the Bible. Emotions have a way of leading us astray but God's word stand solidly as having faith in Him is also paramount. God is not a wicked God and will not allow a circumstance that is bigger than us come close to us.

Deuteronomy 31:8

8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

We live in a really depressing world, I enjoyed reading this. Deuteronomy 31:8 is very encouraging, it is just like a father telling his son that he would always be with him. But human parents have their own challenges and their days can be cut short but that is a different case with God.

Depression is real but with God we can deal with it!

I understand that it is not easy to go through some things in life, especially those that are married with kids and no good job ,this alone can make the man to think a lot and then he starts thinking about committing suicide. Suicide is not an option my people you have to know that God is always there for you no matter what. Just seek his face.

His words consoles us in our time of. Depressions, all we ever need to bounce backnon our feet are hidden in his words we all have to k ow that tbeir is mo situation we are going trough which he doesnt know about and he allows them to hapoen to teach us a lesson or to make strong.

His words comforts us in our season of. Depressions, all we ever need to ricochet backnon our feet are covered up in his words we as a whole need to k ow that tbeir is mo circumstance we are going trough which he doesnt think about and he enables them to hapoen to show us a lesson or to make solid.

When ever we are going through a depressing time we should take a time out with his words and he'll reveal to us the solution. But we have to believe that the sun will shine on us and we will go scale through. Thinking about it will only torture the soul. Let us endeavour to trust in God when depressed. Thank you for this post and the lastly quoted scripture

Some of this issue are from wrong life choices made at younger age, we as Christians should ensure we evaluate our options properly and make the Bible our guide

I have experienced depression and the only thing that helped me was the word of God in my heart. I really thank God for knowing Him....

Great topic. We should definitely discuss this more. I'm sure there are people suffering from depression right now, reading here. And I think this Steemchurch community can be of help.
Elijah called fire from heaven but shortly afterwards fled from Jezebel's threat and hid under a broom bush in depression, crying out for death. God's response to him gives us insight into how to respond to people suffering from depression. (1 Kings 19)

who drinks the beer has no depression:)

Yes we are indeed living in troubled times. Thank you @innozent. You have my upvote.
