Families have all flavors and colors, that is, there is variety because they are all different. And the most important thing is that you can let yourself be guided by the Word of the Lord. There is no perfect family; Difficulties and conflicts are inevitable. We have friction, but above all things, we must seek to live together and in harmony, because the family is what sustains us, makes us grow and live fully.
The Word shows us different cases of families. One very important is that of Noah, who was an example of a positive leader for his people, in the midst of a situation of chaos and sin. The iniquity of the world was so great that God decided to exterminate it! 1 If we see it from that angle, now we are not as bad as at that time because what God wants now is to bless and forgive us, so there are no excuses to be discouraged by the situation, however serious it may seem.

In the midst of that corrupt world, God found a righteous man. Noah found grace and knew how to transmit it to his family2. The same can happen to us now. If you already live according to the precepts of the Lord, you can guide your family to the grace that will keep them firm in the faith before any difficulty. The next family we will learn from is Abram's, another righteous man who had a promise of blessing. Lot, Abram's nephew, also believed in that promise and accompanied his uncle4. He did well because the Bible says he was very blessed, to the point that they began to have difficulty keeping both estates close. So they decided to separate5. Lot gave in to the pressures of others and moved away from his uncle. This is also a valuable teaching because any difference in your family must be resolved before the Lord. If you listen to advice that is not grounded in His Word, you run a serious risk of separation and pain. Listen only to your Heavenly Father!
Lot let himself be guided by abundance and changed his status within a home of blessings for a land of sin. This man is known as just, but he did not know how to influence his family with what he knew about God. So when the time came for the destruction of Sodom, the angels came to warn him, 6 though they preferred to sleep outside his house! Meanwhile, Abram interceded for that town thinking about Lot and his family, who were lost because his daughters and his wife did not listen to him. The Word says that he took them by the hand, that is, he practically had to drag them out of the city. And we all know the story: the wife became a statue of salt and the daughters committed incest, which gave rise to the tribes of Amorites and Moabites who ended up being idolaters.
This family ended up destroyed because nobody of that lineage knew the salvation of Jehovah. This must not happen in your family! You must be an example, light and witness in your home. You must bear good fruit so that your generations may be saved.
God gives you the opportunity to know Jesus and to witness great prodigies so that you take on character, intercede for your family and take them to His ways. Do not give up!
Decide to make this individual pact that also involves your house7. Believe God, ask, declare that He will hinder sin, because you are just, fearful and faithful man who will teach his family to love and serve the Lord8 from the heart.
