Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Are you willing to be wrong?
Imagine being a pastor or a minister of any kind. Or being a parent as you are the spiritual leader of your home. Or a person who shares their faith to others. If you found out you were going in the wrong direction and leading others for a week, or month or even years!
If you (or I) found that the very basis of what we taught was wrong, unbiblical and not what God intended. Would we have the humility to admit we were wrong? Would we stand in front of our congregation and tell our people we were wrong? That we were teaching something false? That we were deceived or did not rightly divide the truth?
Imagine a world where we were all willing to be wrong so that God could be right? Imagine your city or area where every pastor was willing to be wrong so that God could be right. There would no longer be anything dividing us from each other. We would all be in unity and preaching the same gospel! There would not be great doctrinal dividers between us. The people on the outside would know we are truly God's people as we have manifested love for one another in word and deed.
If we think about it, how could we ever learn if we are not willing to be wrong? How could even God get through to a person that thinks they are right? "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." A humble person is a teachable person.
Even in our personal life, how can we improve or grow, without the willingness or be wrong?
God corrects those He loves. Those He loves, love His correction!
How about you? Are you willing to be wrong, so that God can be right?
