“You did it unto Me”
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Living in a Third World Country as a missionary is very rewarding and sometimes very difficult. The difficulty is not really missing any comforts of the Western world. The difficulties are seeing so many needs and wanting to do something to make a difference. If you have followed my blog you will easily know I never ask for money or make emotional pleas. I believe there is a sort off etiquette when it comes to being a follower of Christ. Manipulation, guilt trips and playing with people's emotions are not proper or Christlike.
My wife and I are on the front lines and we see so much first hand. The people here, mostly are hard working and are not looking for handouts. My father used to always say, “Live and help live!” This was his way and it is a good way to look at things. Today I ask God for His help and I let God’s people see into my heart.
These are the things I dream about.
Helping very young kids get an education.
This is one of the things that is a gift that keeps on giving. My wife and I send two kids to school. The cost is not super high. I have seen 15 year olds that have never been to school. I also know of a boy who never went to school until after he was 12. This boy now has an education and is doing super in college.
What a privilege to be part of changing the course of a young person. “Helping them live”.Helping a person get a college education.
Another gift that keeps on giving! I know so many that would love to have a college education. Very motivated young people, but they are hitting a road block when it comes to financial resource. For not very much money, a person could be sent to college.Provoding bibles for entire families without one bible in their home.
When I first moved here 4 years ago, I heard a government statistic that there were 70,000 families just in Misamis Occidental that had no bibles in their household. So far, all credit and glory to God and thanks to His faithful we have provided Cebuano bibles to 7800 households so far.Children’s Ministry
My wife @ronafe heads the children’s ministry to kids 12 years old or younger. Each time we minister to these precious kids, we also feed them. Sometimes it is only juice and bread. For some of the kids, this is the only food they will get for the day. Many are without clothing or suitable clothing. My dream would to be able to provide a nutritional meal each time while showing the love of Christ and feeding them spiritually.Provide supplementary help for local pastors.
So many are working so hard to feed their families. Many driving a motor-cab for about $50 per week. Barely scraping by a living.
*Orphans
Since I have been here, frequently we hear of children left in the hospital by the parent, because they could not afford to pay the medical bill. Once a little first was 6 months old and still living in the hospital. Sadly human trafficking is alive and well here. For a little we could change the future for many.
Micro businesses.
Helping people start up a small business. About $200 would help someone open a store. I am also interested in ideas others may have on this subject.Crafts or Artisan items from the Philippines
I have a friend in the USA that is interested in importing to the US unique crafts from the Philippines that he could market to help the local people. If anyone has any ideas about this, please let me know.Help others join Steemit
I see Steemit as a great way for people to generate supplemental income.
We don’t take a percentage of anything that is sent for ministry. 100% goes to the intended use.
Just some thoughts from the heart of Daddy William
God bless!
Hi. I’m so glad I saw this post. Those are some wonderful things to dream about and some wonderful work that you do in His name. My sister and I have been trying to get in touch with a street children’s charity, Anak, as we would like to do a fundraiser for it, but sadly haven’t had much luck getting through to anyone. Perhaps you could suggest another charity for us to connect with and help instead? Kind regards @dramamama

Where is this ministry called “Anak” based. The word for Son or daughter. I see you are in the UK. Fund raising is not my forte, but sharing the Gospel and the Love of Jesus is. My prayer is that God would match us up with the right people.
God bless you as you help others!
Daddy

Anak was suggested to us by a friend, but as I mentioned, we haven’t been able to successfully make contact. We will pray for the same thing. May God bless you too!

Excellent publication brother, I thank God for meeting people like you with that desire to help others, I hope this publication is an inspiration for many to continue the work of God, not only taking his word, but building a better world or at least porniendo our degree of sand. God will continue to bless you and your family.
