That is tempting God.

But there are also people who are today at the cross like the thief on the other side and understand that what is happening is something great, something that can transform their lives, people capable of saying "Lord, I am a sinner, I deserve death, but If you have mercy on me and you forgive me, I will be able to be with you one day in paradise, Lord I trust in you and believe in you ".

I want to ask you another question: Why are you a Christian? Why are you a child of God? There are those who are Christians because they had a great need and came to the Lord so that He would supply a need, others because it is a fashion, others are for their family, but there are those who are Christians because they have recognized that they are sinners and that Jesus came to save all humanity, people who have had an encounter with the cross of Christ, who have faced the crucifixion of Christ and have gone to Calvary believing that it will change their lives, people who pass from darkness to the light, from eternal death to eternal life, people who left their past buried behind and are now new creatures, are people who have seen the cross and have understood the wonderful fact that has happened there, that is a true Christian.
