STEEMCHURCH - THE WOMAN OF CANTARO

A warm greeting Dear friends and brothers
Welcome to my blog
God bless you!

(Jesus said :) Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will be in him a source of water that will spring up for eternal life.
John 4:14

That day Jesus made the journey between Judea and Galilee. The direct path passed through Samaria, where Jesus wanted to find a person whose needs he knew. In this land marked by suffering due to ignorance of God, Jesus stopped, tired. Sitting on the edge of a well, he waited for someone.

She was a woman, similar to many others: her life was complicated, the eyes of others made her even more difficult. She clung to her little certainties: her pitcher, Jacob's well, her religion ...

How difficult it is to get out of our own opinions and beliefs! Jesus put himself within his reach with humility and sweetness: he was tired, he was thirsty, he asked to drink ... But it is he who gives the living water, who quenches the thirst of the soul, who examines the heart thoroughly. This woman would testify: "He has told me everything I have done" (John 4:29).

Jesus makes us aware of the true needs, and came to fulfill them. He presented to that woman the gift of God, the gift of life, a source of water "that leaps to eternal life" (v. 14), the Spirit as a river of living water (chapter 7:38). She gave him the conviction that God was looking for her to make her enter into the wonderful relationship of the daughter of God.

Jesus said to that woman: "The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; because also the Father such worshipers seek to worship him. God is Spirit; and those who worship him, in spirit and in truth, they must worship "(chapter 4: 23-24). God the Father wants to be worshiped "in spirit and in truth" by his children, by people like you and me!
