Full Of The Spirit Always

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters of out beloved SteeemChurch

It is a spiritual requirement that we be always filled with the Spirit. In Ephesians 5:18-19 (KJV): "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;..." Apostle Paul through the Spirit made us know that it's better to be filled with the Spirit than to be drunk with wine. It was an allegory statement though but when one is actually filled with the Spirit, some people may literally think one is drunk. Like in Acts 2, when the Apostles were in the upper room, as soon as they where filled with the Spirit, the were mocked that they were drunk then, Peter stood to tell them that they weren't drunk but they are fulfilling what was said by Joel.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

The early Church understood the importance of being continually filled with the Spirit; it was the spiritual standard for them. They were Holy Ghost-conscious at all times; they were “God-inside” minded. After the experience they had in Acts 2:4, the Bible says, “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST…” (Acts 4:31). Notice it was all the brethren that were filled with the Holy Ghost and not some.

Like Pastor Chris would say:

"What a Church we would have when, on a service day, everyone in the congregation is full of the Holy Ghost! That ought to be the norm; that’s God’s dream for every one of us. In Acts 6:5, the Bible describes Stephen as a man full of faith, and of the Holy Ghost. Acts 11:24, referring to Barnabas, says the same thing."

No one can carry out ministry or do God’s work effectively without being filled with the Holy Ghost. It accounts for the reason many are struggling and frustrated; they’re on the verge of giving up on their assignments in ministry. If only they’ll act on the Word, things will change for the better. In

Acts 13:9-10 "Then Saul, (who also [is called] Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,..."

This was just the normal life. Even Peter, Stephen, and Barnabas were all described as men “full of the Holy Ghost”; let that be said of YOU. Yes, you have the Holy Ghost, but the Bible says to be full of Him. Being full of the Spirit isn’t something the Lord needs to do for you; it’s absolutely your responsibility, and the scriptures show how to make it happen (read Ephesians 5:18-21). Verse eighteen in the Amplified Classic says, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but EVER be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.” Notice the word, “ever”; meaning it isn’t a one-off experience.

All your waking moments, you’re to be full of the Spirit. And when trouble comes, it doesn’t matter what the barrier is, when you get to it, it’ll fall! If it doesn’t fall, you push it down. If you push it and it doesn’t fall, you walk right through it! There’s no such thing as impossibility or limitations when you’re full of the Holy Ghost; you’re absolutely invincible! Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I’m continually filled with the Spirit, in wisdom, sound judgement, knowledge, glory and dominion! No barrier can stand in my path. There’re no impossibilities or limitations to me; I’m full of might and power by the Spirit of the Lord, for works of righteousness. Blessed be God!

I love reading this. Filled with the Spirit is always interesting and enjoyable with God.

All Christians receive the Holy Spirit when they're saved. The more they mature in Christ the more of the Spirit they receive.

What happened at Pentecost was a one time event in one respect:

(Acts 2:5-8 NIV) Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. {6} When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. {7} Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? {8} Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?

Paul said this about speaking in tongues in church.

(1 Corinthians 14:27-28 NIV) If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. {28} If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.

I've never seen someone speak in tongues. I was in church once when a singer sang a hymn in Spanish. He said afterwards that he doesn't know Spanish and that it was a work of God. That's probably true. But to speak in an unknown language for no one's benefit. I don't think that happens today. I think people babble and pretend to speak in another language.

Jesus told us He would send us the comforter who will guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is that comforter and it is He who would help us make the right decisions which conform with what our Lord Jesus Christ expects of us. Thanks for sharing this post brother
