"I have spoken these things to you so that you may continuously have (hold; possess) peace centered in, within the midst of and in union with Me. Within the System (controlling world of culture, religion, economy and government) you normally have pressure and stress (or: continually have squeezing; repeatedly have tribulation and oppression), but nonetheless, be confident and take courage! I Myself have overcome and conquered the System (dominating world; organized arrangement of religion and society) so that it stands a completed victory!" John 16:33 (JMNT 2014).

Take courage Brothers and Sisterd. The system is designed (not by God) to pressure and discomfort you and rob you of peace.
Y'shua is telling you that He has broken it's power over you. He has deprived it of its power to harm you (See same verse in the AMPC version viz: [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]).
His victory for you is a completed victory. It only becomes of use to you if you know it and enforce it (for my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6 NKJV).
A dethroned official in an outpost will usually still try to exert his influence especially if the subjects in that region are unaware that he has been stripped of authority. He will still have his loyal thugs who go about exacting taxes (illegal) of the unknowing/ignorant citizens.

Unchallenged, he will rob the place blind! Even when challenged by a citizen who knows his rights and the fact that the ex-official has been stripped of all authority, the brigand ex-official will try to bluff his way through.
It takes a spirited stand on the behalf of the enlightened citizen to ward off the challenge and affront of the brigand ex-official. Once the ex-official knows he has been exposed, he runs away as to limit the amount of exposure. This is exactly what happens in the spirit realm.
You have to know based on the word that the devil has been stripped and whipped and then present this evidence to him and stand your ground. He won't just cower and run, but will try to bluff his way through.
STAND and don't buckle because the victory is a complete victory. Don't fall for his antics (he is a master of antics as he has had thousands of years to practice and perfect them) but run him out of town. Expose him!
