The Sure Foundation For Building A Home

Verse 22 tells the wives to be subject to their own husbands in all things. That means your education and exposure notwithstanding, you are to be subject to your husbands.

Then the husbands are told in verse 25 to love their wives just as Christ loves the Church and gave Himself for het How did Christ love the Church? While we were yet sinners He died for us. That means no matter how your wife is, her behaviour or misbehaviour, you are to love her. Husbands are to speak loving and soothing words, words that build, not words that break to their wives.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Verse 33 smartly summarizes all that I'm saying "let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband." This is the marriage equilibrium; this is what every home should be built on. If love doesn't match reverence in the home, the marriage building is bound to collapse.

The heavier responsibility for building a successful home lies with the husband. Verses 22-24 address the wives, whereas verses 25-33 address the husbands. The responsibility that builds the home rests on the man of the home in a 3:8 ratio. Whenever a vehicle is involved in an accident, you challenge the driver of the car (husbands), not the passengers (wives). As men, you are the one to be first questioned if anything goes wrong n the home. "Let every man so love" is where the key lies, so the "wife can so reverence her husband". When you truly submit, you will be truly loved, and when you so love your wife, she will end up truly submitting to you, because no one ever rejects true love. It is a two-way responsibility, which when fully understood will solve every marital problem.

No vehicle can be successfully driven by two people at the same time. Can you imagine people taking turns to drive and changing seats while the vehicle is still in motion? That is an accident about to happen. When you don't allow the leader of the home to lead, a crash is inevitable. You should rather pray that the leader continues to lead aright, and Cod will answer your prayer of faith.

True faith is sharing responsibility with God in the scriptures to create the future you desire. There is what you must do for God to move on your behalf. Let's not pretend; the peace in your family is your peace. You will never find a husband in a troubled home who will claim to be happy. Love and reverence is God's sure foundation for a great family.

It is where to stand to create the enviable future you desire. So, don't wait for the other party; you play your part, and that will be enough to compel your spouse to fall in line with you.
Learn to Forgive: Every time God forgives, He forgets. Likewise, it is not love documenting all the errors of your wife, only for the purpose of calling a family meeting where it will be raised and read out. The Bible says, "Let everyman so love his wife as himself. " One of the virtues of love is forgiveness. Charity (love) forgives all things (1 Cor. 13:47). God's love is a forgiving love. You must be willing to forgive present, past and future offences. This is the love of Christ. God's love is ever fresh and ever burning, and that's the kind of love He said we should have in our homes.

Give: What is love from the biblical perspective? "For God so loved the world, He gave..." God's love is a giving love. That means any cracks allowed in your family leads to a spiritual set back. If you want continuous breakthroughs as a family, therefore, you must be willing to pay the price for peace and joy in your home. That is the way not to hinder your prayers, for helps from above not to be stopped. You negatively affect the destinies of your children when you give room to the devil to penetrate your family life, and this can be very costly This is because the things your children see You do positively or negatively impacts upon them.
