THE TIME FACTOR

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry- Habakkuk 2:3

The word "yet" implies that the vision is not for now. A vision from God always has a time element. The prophet Habakkuk sought a vision and received one; but the Lord told him, "Don't expect what I have told you to happen now. It will surely happen, but its time is yet to come."
Correct timing is very important in God's programme. All visions have their appointed time for execution, which is determined by God alone. You don't just receive a vision and begin to run with it. Just as you prove the vision and ascertain the contents of the vision, you also need to confirm from God the appointed time for your given vision to take Off. This is because God's time is the time of safety; it is the time of miraculous provisions and favours for accomplishment. God's time is the time when He goes before youday make the crooked places straight.

There is always a time for the showing forth of every calling of God. John the Baptist was on a divine mission. It had been said of him even before he was born that he would prepare the way of the Lord. He knew this but didn't go about it immediately until the appointed time. He waited for God's right time to set out. The Bible says:
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. - Luke 1:80

Jesus also knew what His mission on earth was, but spent 30 years carrying out menial jobs in the carpenter's shed. The Son of God, the Saviour of the world, was carrying wood and mending broken tables and chairs for 30 years! He knew who He was right from the beginning and voiced it out at age twelve (Lk. 2:49). But He waited for His appointed time. He heard John preach the gospel of repentance, but didn't rush out to start off His own ministry. He exercised caution and waited. He humbled Himself, and then the heavens opened!

He finally launched out after having received John's baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. If John the Baptist and Jesus had both stepped out a day before their appointed time, they would have wrecked their missions. The time God calls you to ministry is not necessarily the time for you to step out in its pursuit. Always get God's appointed time and walk in it.

Jesus Understood It

A call came for Jesus to go to Bethany to heal Lazarus who was sick. The call was from His loved ones, yet He stayed back and waited for divine instructions. An order to go to Bethany came only after Lazarus had died and was buried. Jesus went at God's appointed time, and the glory of God was manifested (Jn. Il: 1-45). The anointing follows God's timing.

Joshua's Example

Joshua was also sensitive to divine timing. He obeyed God's marching orders and moved at God's command, resulting in the fall of the great wall of Jericho.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.

And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city...
So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.- Joshua 6115-16, 20

If he had told the people that there was no point marching around the city seven times on the seventh day, and that they should do it only once, they would have faced the greatest defeat in history. Not being obedient to God's timing may put a seal upon your doom, so always seek to know His right time for what He has called you to do.

Saul Missed It

One should learn from what happened to King Saul. The set time for him to wait for Samuel to come and offer sacrifices to God was seven days. Saul waited till the seventh day and lost his patience on the last day. He couldn't wait till the end of the day to see if Samuel would come or not, and decided to offer the sacrifice. But as soon as he was done offering the sacrifice, Samuel arrived.
And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.- I Samuel 13:13

God is very particular about your working within His schedule. When God speaks, the anointing for breakthroughs follows. Working in God's timing reduces tension and produces instant results. It is the only way to guarantee success in life and ministry. There is a place to preach per time, and there is a word for each place. Don't go rushing everywhere just because others are doing it and are successful. you must respond to the time nudging of the Holy Spirit.

If you are not sure of His timing, ask Him and He will tell you. You are a soldier in the army of God; don't go marching at your own command. Wait for the Captain of the Hosts to give His orders and then follow Listen for His marching orders before you move. Obeying God's timing leads to sweatless triumphs. Saul's impatience put an end to his reign. Don't be like Saul; avoid haste. Listen for God's marching orders, adhere strictly to them and you will prosper.

The importance of time all encompassing

When. We plan properly we save time

OS

There are many inequities in the world, but one thing we all have in common is the same amount of time each day. God has allotted twenty-four hours to each one of us. Perhaps, because we are products of our fast-paced society, we tend to think and act as though God has short changed us when it comes to time. It is not uncommon to hear comments like, “There just isn’t enough time in a day to do everything I need to do.” “I just don’t know where the time goes.” “I’ll try to find time, but I’m hard pressed for time at the present.” In our day when many people meet themselves coming and going, most people feel pushed for time. The feeling is that there simply aren’t enough hours in a day. Life with all its demands is far too busy.
We fill our conversations with phrases which convey the rush of our modern times. Along with the statements just mentioned, we speak of the peak or rush hour of the day, or we tell family members to get a move on because we don’t have all day. We regularly use words like urgent, priority, or pressing. There was a time when we viewed telegrams as adequate for sending vital information. But today, not only do we have the telephone, fax, email, and the Internet, but we have priority mail, even next-day delivery so we can send an important document or package the very next day thousands of miles away.

Amazing write up my friend, as Christians we should always learn to use our time for the things of God.

Time is very essential to the existence and purpose of man, in other words it heralds the reason for the start and finishing of something. Jesus knew the beginning and end of his earthly journey it dealt with time
When the children of Israel left Egypt it was only a matter of time, when David became king, he had already endured persecutions, that's why as Christians we must always wait for time it's essential.

The difference between HERE and THERE is T which stand for TIME.
The more we understand that the Timing of God is different from one person to the other, the more we will be calm even when things are not working out as planned.

"His thoughts is not our own thought"
His thought towards us is of good and not of evil, to give us a glorious future.

God works with time and all what He created is based on His own Time

In biblical Greek the terms most used for time are: Cronos and Kairos
Cronos: time lapse, duration of time. Root of the word chronometer and its derivatives.
We speak of earthly time, which can be measured. God established with the creation the sun, the moon and the stars to measure the earthly times (Gen. 1: 14-18), and therefore the units of measurement of our time: millennium, century, year, month, day, hours , etc. It is the time of man.

Kairos: correct measurement, occasion, defined period, opportune time, favorable time, indicated and precise moment. Cronos brand quantity, quality Kairos, Rom. 5: 6. Kairos is the timely and designed time from heaven, where God intervenes in the lives of men in a supernatural and powerful way. Time designed in heaven, manifested on earth, for the blessing of men. Here we must watch and be prepared for God's changes, such as "When the manna stopped falling".

In time men chronos, we can conclude sometimes, that God is taking a certain response or miracle, but God knows what, when and how he does it. For example, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, said to Jesus: "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died" and then Marta the other sister said to him: "Lord, it stinks, because it takes four days", but Jesus said: "I have not told you that if you believe you will see the glory of God? Then miracles or divine interventions do not occur when we want or hope, but in the kairos, that is, in the time of God.

God manages a time that is not ours. Our time handle it with a watch and sometimes, watch us drive to us. Sometimes we do things pressed for as long or as well as it is said: "against the clock", and the results are not very good. God does not use clock, but it gives us things when it is the best time for us, at the most convenient time. Many times we make decisions that are not correct by our own anxiety, for not waiting the time that God has us saved.

This is very key

Joshua was also sensitive to divine timing. He obeyed God's marching orders and moved at God's command, resulting in the fall of the great wall of Jericho.

If he hadn't listen to God's marching order (perfect timing),then the walls of Jericho wouldn't have fell down.
This is a good example for Christians to follow, we should always obey God and follow whatever he directs us to do, for he knows the perfect time and way to do his thing.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful post with us all.

The timing of God is always perfect and is the best for us.
We most times tensed when things are not working out well or when we see our mates that are making it.
There is always time and season for everything, we just have to be in line with God in order to get the best from him.

God's time is the best. Most times we are always impatient when it comes to waiting for God's time but perfect timing of God always puts us in the position we have always been meant to be and by His grace, it is upwards and onwards from there.

This is a great and wonderful message. Correct timing is very important in God's programme. All visions have their appointed time for execution, which is determined by God alone. Listen carefully to God's commands before moving forward. very good words apostol

thanks for sharing this posts
very good words

Thanks, @tikhub for the beautiful message it is always perfect for us Christians to move with the right timing from God I think you have also witnessed pastors that start-up churches and then fail at the end of the day simply because they were not Ready according to God but the physical realm lied to them and by the way God's timing is the best and the more it delays the better it is . Our God is a GOD of patience he never gives current cheques though we human beings prefer current cheques but for everything that happens is for his goodness and our goodness, he never makes a mistake and he is not a lier what ever he promises he fulfills
