Greetings to the parishioners of the #steemchurch and the great founder and leader of the movement @sirknight.

I want to write today about having a true sense of right and wrong. Now in our society today, we as humans generally view what is right as what is accepted by the masses which should not be the case. This is because in a society where injustice and every form of vice is acceptable, the norm or accepted standard for the people in such a society would be to call such vices acceptable.

Now this might not be taken so seriously but in reality it is one of the deep rooted cause of problems in societies that suffer from such. This is because such society cannot be expecting to produce leaders that are upright and diligent.

WHY??

Because clearly, he never learned how to be one, hence if ever he should get into uch position of power, he would not only promote such social vices and theft but would most likely partake in them. That’s why it is usually funny and surprising when such a society expects standard from their leaders that are not even kept at the most basic unit, which is their family.

This is very wrong and we of the #steemchurch scattered around the world should endeavour that we begin to make the right steps in making our diverse societies better.

But how can this be done?

How can a few people make such an effect on the masses?
We should endeavour to practise what we preach. The apostle James, makes us to understand this when he said:

James 1:22-25 **Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.**

He is trying to tell us that having heard the word of God, we should not bsorb all that knowledge and do nothing with it, but rather we should act on it, live on it, dwell in it so that its fruits would be seen in our everyday life.

That is why if we all Christians around the world decide to practise what they preach, I bet you that the world will in no small way be a better place.

Would love to thank @sirknight and the apostles of the #steemchurch for their contribution and effort all through.

We actually live in a time were people cannot differentiate between right and wrong. The scriptures is the one true guide that helps illuminate the right path for us to follow. I agree with you, as parishioners of SteemChurch we have to be different.

God has given us the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. Our conscience is there to first guide us! It is just a pity that people have succeeded in successfully kill their conscience.

The theory of right and wrong is one that will forever be debated among people around the world. Whats right?? and what is wrong?? Who lays down the rules for right and wrong?? We as christians have the bible as our guide to show us the right way to life. Joshua 1 vs 8 tells us to meditate on the word on a daily basis to ensure that we have GOOD success. When we hold on to the word of God we learn what is right and the holyspirit helps us to put it into practice. Thanks for sharing this.

The concept of right and wrong, good and evil still remains q puzzle in Christianity and in philosophy. Though the age of reasoning starts from seven. But if I am to air my opinion on the subject matter, I will say; some one who did good to you, and did wrong to another, you tend to call the person a good man and the other calls him a bad man. If another person did you wrong, and did good to another person, you tend to call him a bad man and the other calls him a good man. So in all of this, to me I think there is no such thing as a bad man and no such thing as a good man.

I totally agree with you. We should all practice whatever we preach as we are an open bible to the world. We are what they see Christianity as and if we behave poorly that is what they would believe Christianity is. A religion of badly behaved people.
Let us strive to live right and not follow the masses in their bad attitude. We are different.

The Level of decadence in the society is high, moral values are rapidly declining and different form of vices are accepted as the norm.

In order to have a good sense of right and wrong, the Bible needs to be our compass and Christ our navigator.

With Christ, What Can Go Wrong?

Freedom to choose have started from eternity between Jesus and Lucifer, so God as given us this ability to know between what is right or wrong, but the best thing we can do now is to follow the scriptures and ask the Holy Ghost to help us all the time

Knowing the right and the wrong? I believe that God have given us the will to choose between them both there fore no one will say he doesnt know which is morally right or wrong to do just that the world we live in is a hypocritic world where we say something and does another i strongly believe that if we all make the gospel our base for life then it wont be difficult for us knowing the wrong from the right @xinese i have been following up your write up utou are really adding to the community.

I totally believe that the bible has prescribed the right doings for us to follow and objected the wring doings. Also, I believe that we should be pragmatic and not being dogmatic. Thanks for the enlightenment

The truth is that even in the bible, after the moses had thrown down the commandments in fury. God promised to write his commandments in our hearts. A popular theory goes that this promise is what translates to our conscience.

You know these things are all there in the bible. The things that are right and wrong. And if we are truly in the spirit, it will remind us of these things, but most times just because we want to please those around, we neglect the holy spirit.
