This sounds like an awesome initiative!
I was about to upvote and resteem, but I discovered it on Day 7.
That 7-day window!

Steem Community Coalition in Session
My love for talking to people and getting them together never grows short and I hope that it never does. Wanting to get people that can make a difference all in one place is something I'd always want, no matter what the consequences. Things like that can backfire on you when people of power don't agree to work together, or can't work together but all I can do is try. Trying doesn't hurt, right?
I love talking about communities, building communities and helping share my knowledge and ideas to help build communities. You could call me a community builder of some sort if that's a thing. Sounds real cool, though.
With having said that, the lovely @LilyRaabe of the art community @TheNewAlchemists and me trying to build a gaming community @PeopleOfTheNight, having spoken to each other, we were brimming with ideas. LilyRaabe questioned me on bringing graphic designers, artists and gamers together and how most of us work in isolation most of the time and discussing on how to bring these people together gave us an idea to bring community leaders of the Steemit platform together.
Now, I have to say, it's been less than a week since this idea came up, and we almost instantly started to work on it. Getting in touch with a few community leaders that I personally know myself and LilyRaabe having her own connections with the Steemit platform, we set out to ask these particular lovelies if they wanted in on a community, as all we want to do with it is get the leaders out in the same place so sharing word of happenings to all of you on the Steemit platform would be made easier.
I do hope the hivemind feature has something of the sort to get people together but we had to do something before that came out, and why give the Hot and Trending channels all the attention, right? The people are what make this platform what it is and if we don't TRY working together, we won't succeed. It's all about taking the initiative and taking that first step.
This is the first and only clause we have for our community as of now and we might have more in the future when we get you all on there to discuss you the good or even the best approaches to take while taking care of this. We call it the Steem Community Coalition.
"Hello, Steem Leaders: The SCC was formed by @Vishire (founder of People of the Night) and @LilyRaabe (founder of The New Alchemists) to bring Steemit community leaders together so that we are more aware of what is happening on the blockchain. This group belongs to all of us.
Our first aim is to gather a group of community leaders together, and hold the first SCC Meeting, where we can introduce ourselves, our projects, and get to know one another and the depth of the blockchain better.
Current steem communities operate in isolation too often. By talking with one another and sharing knowledge and resources we will all have growth and development opportunities. Our aim is to create space for Steem leaders to gather, discuss, problem-solve and knowledge-share. If new collaborations arise, fantastic.
Thanks for being here!
@Vishire and @LilyRaabe
To get in touch with me regardless of whether you are a community founder or someone who can get in touch with them, do revert back to me on steem.chat. My username is the same as it is on here, @vishire
Or you can just come join my Discord server at Vishire's Sexy Club and find me on there. cough
I guess this witness needs to be a part of the goings on here. Apologies for not finding the time as yet.

I can't figure out why you'd be apologizing. I missed the 7-day window to upvote and resteem, so I tried this. The goal is to direct traffic back to the original post. This sounds like a great project!
