Bitcoin, I love what you have done for me. I love how you have opened a brand new world when it comes to finance, ownership of money, and freedom to control your own wealth. You are amazing! In other words, I love you!
But, I also love my wife! However, there are few people in the world able to make me angrier than exactly her... my wife! So, with love comes feelings, and that is probably why few people have given me more strange feelings, positive feelings, and negative feelings... than Bitcoin!
How I got to know you for the first time!
I think it must have been back in 2012. I remember it! I had read about Bitcoin and I heard about mining Bitcoin. It sounded cool. I downloaded an application, installed it, ran it - and I didn't underestand a single thing! I uninstalled the app, and forgot about Bitcoin!
December 2016 - I thought it was time to pick up with Bitcoin once again. But, man - the price for a Bitcoin was 600 USD. Who would ever spend that much money on buying something like Bitcoin? I didn't think more about it...
July 2017 - Bitcoin was moving and the Bitcoin Cash fork was approaching. The fork came, and Bitcoin boomed. I use a currency program on my phone and set an alert. If Bitcoin would ever go below 2000 USD, I should get an alert, and I will jump in and buy at once. But, what if I had bought back in December when it was only 600 USD? What if I had mined some back in 2012? These feelings surrounded me, and they didn't exactly make me very happy!
August 2017 - My mining equipment for Ethereum was ready and I was eager to enter the crypto-world. But, Bitcoin, it was so expensive that I didn't really have the heart to buy it. Well, I did, at 4000 USD. And then came the news that China was gonna ban Bitcoin, and the price fell to 3000 USD. I felt terrible. Had I made the mistake of my life? I tried to sell and buy and who knows what... in the end, I had less Bitcoin than in the start!
I often betray you... Bitcoin!
And then, my dear Bitcoin... you somehow don't feel as precious and tempting as all those other altcoins. So, whenever I had the chance, I invested in altcoins instead of just holding you dear and petting my dear Bitcoin! It was very cool, for a very long time... but then came the bloodbath of 2018, and I deeply wished that I had taken better care of my Bitcoin, instead of spreading it around everywhere...
As of 2020, I still have problems keeping my dear Bitcoin, because Steem, Strongblock, Vechain, Litecoin, Ethereum, and the rest - they somehow sound so much more interesting. But, deep down, I do know - Bitcoin is the dearest child of them all. It might not be as much fun, but it is way more stable and safe than most of the others.
My dear Bitcoin - some final words!
I love you Bitcoin. I love what you have done and what you have achieved. You have given me lots of joy whenever you move towards the sky, you have given me sorrow when you turn red and grumpy, and you have given me more "If I had only..." feelings than anyone else has ever done.
But, I am not angry with you! I might be more angry with myself at such times, for not taking better care of you and keeping you and understanding how precious you are. And if I don't watch out now, I fear I will be even sadder in 10 years from now! I will do my best, even though our relationship seems to be very complicated at best!
So, I made a wow one day - I will be with you in good and bad days. I am still standing by that, and I look forward to our future together!

You wife shouldn't see this if bitcoin was a woman right? Haha. Nice lines. This bitcoin thingy is really amazing though it doesn't cease to annoy me sometimes. I like one same thing about it as you, when it approaches the sky. Honestly, I regret not having lots of bitcoin now but I know I couldn't, not when bitcoin was pretending to be drowning. I think I have to stick close to this bitcoin and understand it very well, so I won't be fooled by it's theatrics again.

Very true, in hindsight we realize how big an opportunity we miss. More or less the same as the case with me back in 2015/16.
I think that is more or less the feeling for all. Bitcoin is like the first love in the crypto domain. Some people want to engage with other altcoins but can not forget Bitcoin.

Yes i agree some times we feel our decisions are wrong,but those give good results in future. But on seeing sudden dump all get afraid,so sell at low price. Need patience here.

So easy to get scared as Bitcoin makes a move downwards, and then to sell quickly as it moves upwards. It is a game impossible to play perfectly, so somehow, the safest thing might be just to hold. But then again, if you hold when it is worth 13,000 USD and it dumps to 9000 USD, you feel really stupid for not selling. What a rollercoaster!
