Steem on the Rise: What's Your Steem Dream?

I'll start. A few things I wanna do with my Steem as/when it goes to the moon:

  • White sand, blue water beaches in Thailand. Playing and swimming with my son.

  • Finance my wife's career as she studies to be a professional vocalist/voice coach/singer.

  • Travel to Ireland to see if I can find any long-lost cousins/relatives and also smash Guinness glasses against the stone pub walls on St. Paddy's Day.

  • Buy some better equipment with which to keep creating anarchist content for my pet project, Voluntary Japan.

  • Help friends and family financially as warranted. Some folks could just use a boost. I don't believe in altruism, but if I can pour some gas on a loved one's spark or fire that has long been burning, without complaint or excuse, I will.

  • Allow my son to see his grandparents! He's only seen them once in person!

  • Buy nice clothes, dinners, etc, for my beautiful wife who more than deserves such things!

  • Enroll my son in the local Montessori School.

  • Keep stackin', saving, and investing in crypto, gold, and whatever else tickles my fancy.

What about you? What's your #steemdream? Let me know in the comments or post your own entry under this new tag. Could be fun!

Regardless of what happens to Steem from here on out, I am just really glad to be a part of this community. Something new! Something fresh! This world sure can get boring and stale under the coercion of the state. Thanks be to Steem for adding some much needed fuel to my fire in life!

To be honest, I just wish I could make a decent living out of my writing. It looks now more possible than ever altough it is still too early to tell

I hear you. Just followed your blog so I can keep up on said writing. When I was unemployed last August in the midst of the huge Steem craze I didn't do half bad for myself writing. As usual, and as with almost all things, I am finding that persistence is the key. Grind on, my friend.

Mine is somewhat more modest.
I'd just like to be able to have a large enough amount of steem in my account such that It would provide a couple of hundred dollars a month without depleting the principle,

Modest is good. And that is a great goal.

This sounds realistic, to a newbie like me.

I could begin withdrawal at this very moment except that I'm greed and would like to with draw a greater amount at a later date rather than a smaller amount right now. The value of my account has tripled in the last few weeks. I'm hoping even greater increase in value.

I only just discovered it today. Is it really as lucrative as people seem to be saying here?

Do the dollar amounts on posts here actually line up with real world money?

(I'll go and read up on this properly later - just curious right now)

no idea what' you've been hearing.
right now ,I just checked Steem is worth$ 0.596090637125
a thousand steem worth $596.09 . That's gone up considerably in the last couple of days...and by considerable I mean tripled.

I think most know mine, to launch zappl and to bring in many more users.

Not familiar with zappl. Have to check it out.

My latest Steem dream is to buy some art I saw yesterday in Dublin with money I earn from my posts.

Ps your welcome in Ireland any time, be sure to check out my series on pubs of Dublin as I search for the best pint of Guinness. I am visiting another pub tonight :)

Having lived in Dublin I can imagine this is an epic and worthy quest!

Wait - is there a v in your first name? A friend of a friend is an E. Roche.

Good to meet you @promac. No v in my name but I probably do know your friend. Ireland is a very small place :)

Wow, no shit! You are in Ireland. Sweet! I will be sure to check out your series and follow you if I am not already. Cheers 🍻

Deadly i might even meet some of your cousins along the way.

Perhaps. I've met none of them. Gotta hunt 'me down via family tree ;)

At times I dream big and say that i would like to buy a beach house with Steemit proffit. That would be most amazing. But a more realistic goal for me may be to build my steem power up enough that I can make a real impact with each upvote. Would love to be able to give a dollar or two with each upvote rather than a penny or two.

An admirable goal for sure.

Spend more time enjoying the Rocky Mountains!

That sounds fantastic.

It will be great when Steemit flourishes!

I love this list and the #steemdream tag. Perhaps I will write about it.

For now:

  1. To invest in rental properties
  2. To invest in companies doing something great for the community
  3. To start a school for kids free of cost
  4. To offer shelter for free for old people (my biggest dream)
  5. To protect my family and offer them everything they need
  6. If money left, buy myself a luxury car. :)

Sounds excellent. Thanks for sharing! What kind of car you fancy? :)

The one, you know, that makes people turn their heads! :)

Wish to own a Lamborgini, or Ferrari, or Bugati.

Or, when Steem hits moon, ALL three! :)

To live in a quiet place where growing pot is tolerated and there's good internet, a few acres of forest with fishing waters. I want to be left alone with my thoughts.

Yeah a nice spot in the bush where I can build a cabin and make some whiskey :)

This sounds so nice.
