Not gaining any traction on your posts? Here's some quick tips to help you build momentum!

A. )  You're not spending enough time on branding your post, such as your headline & thumbnail. Too often, I see people spend hours writing their articles and when they finish, they overlook proper tagging and headlining because they are so excited to hit Post and get their content out there!

B. ) Get associated with as many people as quickly as you can. This will help you to not only gain traction and instant gratification on your posts, they will keep you in check when your post sucks. Remember, this is a two-way street, be sure to let you new friends know when their shit is WEAK.

C.) You are not posting to the most appropriate category or not tagging right at all. The first tag selected is the category in which your post will be published. This cannot be edited, so ensure you have ordered the most appropriate tag first, as again, this will be the deciding category. Also, please be sure not to tag your posts to irrelevant categories. Some see this as spamming and it is frowned upon by many in the community.

D. ) Your posts are painstakingly an obvious attempt at fishing for whales. You want your posts to be original and fresh, not a glaring attempt at a quick buck. Nobody wins when shit posting happens.

This is you, blatantly unequipped to go whale hunting.

These are the more established whale hunters. They have a full arsenal and have spent a lot of time and energy preparing for the hunt. These are the ones that know those who fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

E. ) You're trying too hard to write an awesome story. No, seriously, the best content comes organically as you can see for yourself by looking at a few of the blogs on the front page. We always find out when somebody is being dishonest and we absolutely love when an author pours their heart & soul into a posts, leaving everything on the table.

Thanks for reading my quick tips, I learned these tips collectively from the community as a whole and I hope this post is appreciated because I spent a lot of time on it. A quick shout out to all of those thriving here on Steemit. You are a huge inspiration to us minnows.
