Grass & Tires

I have had a pretty busy Thursday under a sunny sky today, since we aren't putting up the pool this year as we biffed it after last summer the sand base has been bugging me.

So i decided i would remove around 12 wheelbarrow loads of sand and lay some topsoil then add grass seed.

First i had to remove the tarps we put down before the sand was placed, that was quite a workout but i got them all out.

We put 2 trailer loads of sand to make this base so there was a bit to remove, thankfully i had a place to put it.

Here it is after the topsoil and grass seed has been added, the sprinkler will be used to keep the seed wet.

I also needed to change the back tire on my Mountain bike as the tread has taken a hammering lately, i had another 2nd hand tire which i used to replace the worn one.

last summer I bought such a pool for $42 - autumn came - I had to clean it. Soon it will be spring and summer again - that's why I'm thinking about where to put it. Make a concrete base or just pour sand. Better yet, dig a bigger hole and buy a rectangular pool
