We all know that our Steemit keys are important right? Without them you are locked out of your Steemit account with no way of retrieving them😥😪

Yesterday

I got up about 7am, had some breakfast and sat down in front of my laptop which for the past two weeks has been unresponsive sometimes and needing restarts to get back on track. Yesterday morning i did a restart which seemed to make things worse and the only way i could do anything was via "Safe Mode". Long story short i was getting enough errors to suggest a re install of Windows 10 was the only way forward 🏍🏍

It gave me two options with one being to keep my files or delete everything, i chose keep my files and a re install was started. Two hours later and everything was ready for its first start up.....😁😁

Ok so that did not work so a clean install was selected, to date i have still not been able to resolve the issue and get the laptop back into action.
i am Thinking its a BIOS issue which i will have a look at later

My Steemit Keys

My Steemit keys are on two USB drives plus have a printed copy so i was not worried with what happened, but it did get me thinking of if i had only saved my Steemit keys on my Laptop i would have LOST my account!

I think the best ways to save your Steemit keys are as follows

• On USB drive(s)
• Email them to a gmail account and save that message
• Print them out and keep it safe
• Write them down

So that was my Saturday quite an interesting one, now let me have another look at that Laptop!
