HAPPY SATURDAY! ... SHABBAT SHALOM

in steemfest •  6 years ago

The SHABAT, also written SABBAT (in Hebrew: שבת: shabbath) or its variant in yidis, shabbos (שאבּעס), is the seventh day of the week, being in turn the sacred day of the Jewish week and even the RASTAFARI faith.

The Sabbath is observed from Friday evening until the appearance of three stars on Saturday night and is a sign of the relationship between YEHOVAH and his people. The celebration of the Sabbath is prescribed among the Ten Commandments received by Moses, so it is celebrated as a weekly feast. At Mount Sinai, Moses said that God had prescribed the observance of the seventh-day rest with the words of the fourth commandment of the Decalogue (Exodus 20: 8-11).
