Let's say what we hear is true then I'd agree that apple is more secure since apple even defended themselves from the fbi wanted to infiltrate apple users while Google is the bad Big Brother.
I assume though that it doesn't matter where it runs + when he already states that it has to run a special brand to be secure, than either his android skills aren't strong or it's easy hackable from the start #TechNoobAssumptions

Your own software may be secure in itself, but the platform had to be secure too or there may be ways to break in. From what I've read it seems Apple is more locked down

hey Steev! I just want to say thankyou to you for being so friendly and welcoming to me at steemfest! As you know Im super new to the platform and I was pretty nervous coming to be around so many genius minds and crypto-powerhouses, but it was so great to meet one of the few people I actually knew from the platform, so early on. (I also have steemit openmic to thank I think) Going for that first dinner with you, allan and miguel was such a settling experience and was definitely the moment where I realised I was going to have a LOT of fun! It was weird not having you at the final meal, you were definitely missed! Take care and I'll see you at openmic sometime soon! :) x

I think they use some of their witness rewards to pay the developers and hosting costs. As long as steem is considered to have value then this can continue. They obviously managed to accumulate a lot early on by mining. I see Ned is delegating again
