#STEEMGIGS: (steem secrets) — No steem content is monotonous

in steemgigs •  6 years ago

Repetition is the law of deep and lasting impression. No subject matter is monotonous on the steem blockchain. The topics cannot be overemphasized, the subject of discussion cannot be “too much” to consume.

I said that to say this: many people are worried they don’t have what to blog or write about because a whole lot of other content creators here have said/written or blogged about it already. For example, I began a steem secrets series on “Tips for sustained success on Steemit”. I’m pretty sure a couple of content creators here would have written or spoken about the same subject matter, in short I’ve seen a couple of these contents on Steemit. Nonetheless, I still saw the need to write about the subject matter.

Why Monotony is good on Steemit:

  • Our Followership differ – Our followership isn’t the same, except we have the same set of people following us which is quite unlikely. Our followership most of the time is a function of location, community, and common value shared. Steemit offers the opportunity for forming communities within a community. The set of people who follow influencer/blogger “A” is different from those who follow influencer/blogger “B”. Hence, the need for the “seemed monotonous content” to be cascaded down the line of our followership
  • Repetition is the law of deep and lasting impression – Repetition goes a long way in stressing the importance and acceptance of a message. People take a subject matter serious when it is seen repetitively. It’s just like advertisement. The psychology behind adverts is to ensure that wherever people turn to, the product (that is being advertised) is seen. The same applies to our contents here. No subject matter can be overemphasized.
  • Our methods differ - Our approach to steeming differ here. Some people make only video contents for people on Dtube DLive or even Youtube. Now these platforms have their own reach and user model. I know a couple of people who have never used the Steemit.com website to make their posts talk less of connecting or engaging via the website. Many stick to the video platform. Some others edit/post through various platforms built on the steem blockchain, e.g, Steepshot, @busy.org @utopia-io @dlive @dsound @esteem, etc. @steemgigs & @teardrops are other platforms available for content creation. For example, I’m using/posting this content through @steemgigs and they have their audience. The audience here may not be opportune to see some posts on other platforms, hence, the need for monotony and repititon.

It’s just a short/quick Intel I thought to share with you, bye for now!

You are definitely correct. There is always a gap to fill in literature.
The question of whether that gap is worth filling is left for you to decide.

Hmmnnn...Very true bro!
