the genius of childhood is recovery According to will

I am going to give this to you, even though it is not perfect and you tied with thatmemeguy. Very good sir. The absolute correct answer:
"Genius is the recovery of childhood at will." by Arthur Rimbaud.
Nicely done.

wait explain why please

"People who know me in person could think it’s a quote by me. It’s not though. It is by the French poet Arthur Rimbaud (1854 – 1891), born in Charleville. As part of the decadent movement, Rimbaud influenced modern literature, music and art. He was known to have been a libertine and quite restless, traveling extensively on three continents before his death from cancer.

I love this quote as it stands for a fearless, open minded, free and (un)controlled state of mind, being close to yourself and not bothered by convention or opinion. Especially the ‘at will’ is interesting because it reflects the power of the mind to provoke / create."

The passage above is from this blog: https://supergites.wordpress.com/2011/02/28/%E2%80%9Cgenius-is-the-recovery-of-childhood-at-will-%E2%80%9D/

Beautiful quote. I like it a lot. I recall a point in my life where I had lost my way. During that process I recall harking back to times in my childhood to identify characteristics of my being that seemed to be implicitly 'me'. This reminds me in some ways of that process of seeking the 'inner child', which I would equate to the distilled essence of who we are before experience and circumstance moulded us into something else.

I'm sorry, @stellabelle, but i still can't understand how we were supposed to find it. Is there a display error for other users? What i have is a succession of dots (3,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3) separated by **. I see no words at all. Was the point about rearranging words?

Nice job!

did you know what AR meant?

To be honest I had no idea that it could be AR, first count the rules of points, and then to see no sense I started to see the image and notice that there were words that stood out, what cost me more was the Japanese word that Means "genius" (Tensai)

did you just rearrange @thatmemeguy's words? Or did you figure it out yourself?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I had all the words less "according to will". There I had "lau will" .. there I understood that the translation I found was wrong for lau volo

both winners are from Venezuela. interesting.

According to will the recovery of childhood is genius

Upon further reflection, you had the meaning correct, so I am going to make this a tie.
Plus I think you were the first to get the words right, so I believe siersod rearranged yours.

yours was very close but the order of the words are incorrect.
The correct answer that @siersod got (just two words were different:

"Genius is the recovery of childhood at will."

aaaaaw , well thanks! I actually thought AR meant Amateur Radio and began searching for morse codes hahaha

well, how did you get the words right? Did you know what AR was ?

I saw the word on the image and thought that there was a hidden message in it. So I lower the contrast and found out the other words , at first I thought it was in spanish , but when I translated laû volo in google translate it came out as esperanto. And all the other words were in esperanto. The hard one was the japanese kanji, after translating I place the words in the reply box searching for a combination with meaning and boom!

"words in the reply box searching for a combination" So, you mean in Google translate? So, you put in a google search with these words right?
Very smart. I knew I would find smart people in Steemit who would do exactly as you did. Nice!

Hahahaha Thanks! Yeah and that's what I did , Back in 2014 I helped with some Cicada challenges, in the end I didn't get far but it was cool

both winners are from Venezuela. What do you think about this?

Thank you very much for this challenge!

wait, how did you figure it out? Do you speak Japanese?

I draw it on a notebook and called a friend that knows japanese :o

did you really? That's insane. wow.

did you take a photo of the character? how did your friend see the japanese character?

Yeah I send it too him from my cellphone , he told me it means genious. I then went to google translate and translated genius from english to japanese to be sure and indeed it was !

Is this something like of a Morse code or cryptography? This is hard man. haha.

So I passed the first phase and managed to count them, nearly costed me my eyes. Now trying to make something out of them and feel like it will cost me my brain.

This is the most comedy comment on steemit this week. Haven't even smiled all day till this happened after ages of scrolling!

Hey that wasn't meant to be funny, I went through serious medical problems trying to solve it :D Glad you enjoyed the comment.

Oh... So there were hints in the image. I was busy deciphering the asterisks and the dots. LOL XD

yes, i knew that would happen. that was to distract certain types.

I was complacent thinking it was a PLACEHOLDER image, lol.

same here lol

Interesting... :)

Do what love?

Congrat!! 今度、わたしも頑張ります!

The god of small things ?

Should I still study or go home"Her thoughts"

no

Nice one! :)

Ahm... tug of war? Lol

no

the love is an aspiration of the soul, the mind doesn't care at all.
It worth a try.

no

recovery

no, answer must be a complete sentence.

OK here's what I see. Might help someone else.

天 - A japanese symbol for Heaven/Sky + one I don't know.

laû volo - Apparently esperanto for: "According to the will"
la = the
reakiro = recovery
infanago = childhood
estas = Is
de = of/from/by

So something like 'Recovery from childhood is the will of the heavens' :) But that's a pretty big stretch from what I have and has no clear link to AR.

answer is above.
"Genius is the recovery of childhood at will"
by Arthur Rimbaud (AR)

the japanese character for genius is Tensai. You seperated the characters. They go together and form the word 'genius'

I was to putting: "These recovery according to the will of the childhood genius". Too late :(

I'm not sure to understand what we are supposed to find?

Exactly. The one who solves this will find it.

Augmented Reality?

no. The answer is complete sentence.

I feel like I'm In augmented reality with this post:)

that's how you are supposed to feel.

Yes I know:) lol Great post...I couldn't figure it out for the life of me!

Special man, your art are becoming colored again!

Yes @surpassinggoogle...It goes In cycles I guess...Always good to change it up my friend so people don't get bored!:) lol

Yes!

how am i even supposed to start figuring this out.. im so stupid..

This is great. I would love to solve the next one :)

@stellabelle 日本語ができる?! really!?

The final answer must be in English.

no, but clever answer.

The answer is - "a complete sentence". :)

Edit: formatting

"It is only dots and asterisks"

no

If you can solve this, I will pay you 25 Steem

Lol, i dont even understand the puzzle? or is not showing correctly on my browser?

This is a trap, I really do not understand

life is a trap

yah thanks
