I hereby humbly applying for the steem greeter role on the steem ecosystem. My name is Onyeli Yohan, a Ugandan with a steemit account name @yohan2on. I am a marketeer by profession, possessing a bachelor’s degree in Business administration with a major in marketing. I have been on steemit for now over 2 years.

Before joining steemit, I desired to have an online business because I was fed up of wasting most of my valuable time on social media platforms that weren’t paying me any single penny.

I speak English fluently and proficiently. The other language i know is “Luganda” which is one of the commonest local language in Uganda.

My past Work experience

Being a hard-working and passionate young man, I have explored various opportunities on the platform. For example, I applied and was successfully granted a steem-ambassador position within the great promo-steem project that was spearheaded by @starkerz and @anarcotech.

I was in charge of the various promotional campaigns of steem in Uganda. I and the Ugandan team went to different universities with fliers spreading the word about the new decentralized social media ecosystem. Onboarded many users and guided them on how to get started.

Later on joined the @Oracle-d company as a professional content creator (the company was later rebranded Yoodoo). In this company, I actively participated in creating various SEO content for over 40 Crypto and Block-chain companies. The content-type included blogs, explainer videos, and graphics designing. I also engaged in various social media marketing campaigns including promoting the various blockchain company’s products, services, and events on twitter, medium, linkedIn, Facebook.

I am actively involved in Project.Hope community, Steem Africa and World of Xpilar where i create content on a wide range of topics.

Why you would make a good Steem Greeter.

First foremost I am 100% active on steem and I have lots of plans for this ecosystem that are all geared towards onboarding new users and helping them get started on the steem ecosystem.

I intend to use my tennis coach profession to onboard many users onto the steem ecosystem that is through carrying out as many volunteering tennis training sessions as possible and using them as an avenue to spread the word about steem.

I am looking forward to organizing different crypto and Blockchain education conferences in Uganda for purposes of enlightening many Ugandans about crypto with a main focus on steem.

I will be Organising steemit meet ups to mentor newbies on how to get started and how to use the steem-blockchain effectively for personal and community development.

I love meeting and socializing with new people all over the world because I strongly believe that the real wealth lies in having valuable engagements with people.
