Inserting html widgets into Steemit posts

in steemhelp •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hello,
For my last post ( https://steemit.com/travel/@macu/budget-and-itinerary-to-backpack-andalusia-for-two-weeks ) I wanted to insert a tripline widget to insert a nice, navigable map. However, if I tried to insert the code I have using the "Raw Html" view, I cannot see anything:

(I have deliberately inserted blank spaces after each "<" character so you Steemer can see the code)

< div style="position: relative; margin: 5px 0 5px 0; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; clear: both;">< iframe style="position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0;" src="http://www.tripline.net/map?tripId=67757722040010128846C295AE3F8A75&onSite=0" width="300" height="150" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen">< /iframe>< /div>"

Is there any way to insert these kind of widgets using markdown?

You can open github issue to allow new html tags

do you have a link for that?

No sorry

The site only allows whitelisted html.

Yes you are right

I think all sorts of code other than Markdown are disabled for security reasons.

i'm also struggling with this :( did you already find solution for this?

I have a complex solution... it's ruff draft right now..

haha please let me know ;)

Check out my blog... :)
