How many of us have burnt our clothes while ironing? I'm pretty certain 8/10 of us have experienced it. If you go an electrical store to buy an iron, there will be at least 15 to 20 products of different make and brand to choose from.

Let me introduce you to a new and reinvented smart iron. The "OLISO SMART IRON". Still designed to look like a traditional iron, this smart iron has been integrated with iTouch Technology.

The smart iron has sensors that when you touch the handle, it will lower itself to glide and you move. Once you release, it will automatically lift itself, making ironing safer, no more burns, no tipping... and a little more fun!

This is cool! Most likely only iron I have used 'cool' for. Iron and cool rarely go together when describing one.

Pros.

Lifts itself up and from the ironing board.
automated on and off.
generous steam holes for wetting.
heat up quickly.

Cons.

heavier than most regular iron.
costly an iron, even for the few smart features.

Hi @gelfire,

Thanks for your hunt. Sadly enough I truly doubt that 4/5 people may have experienced burning clothes while ironing. If that were a reality no dress code could be imposed requiring ironed clothes because the people would revolt over it.

Let’s say a huge minority of people need an iron with built-in safeguards. But the hunt is approved. For the minority. :P

For this much features, if its enabled in a way that it iron itself wouldn't be such a bad idea. At least, the user just plays the supervisory role. Great hunt
