Making and compositing for motion graphics is not easy, the technology used is also expensive, for example, Adobe After Effects ($ 1,330) and Avid Media Illusion ($ 24,800). NATRON can be used as an alternative solution because it is a free and open source, in addition to its ability that is not inferior when compared to the two paid applications above.

Natron is a free and open-source node-based cross-platform compositing software. It offers robust and efficient tools for compositors to get their job done fast with high-quality results.

Features

  • Flexible rotoscoping
  • Tracker
  • Powerful keying tool
  • Curve and dope-sheet editor
  • GPU and network rendering
  • OFX compatible
  • Community plugins
  • And many mores

Watch this video below to see NATRON in action;

This will be an alternative substitute for Adobe After Effects, and you will save money of $ 1,330 or $ 24,800 if you use Avid Media Illusion.

Awesome hunt! good luck

This is a really cool piece of software. I have used paid softwares in past for this, but if there is a free version out there, it would be worth a try. Another good part is that it is open source, meaning anyone can use the code for some further customization to suit their needs and come up with their own version.

editing and compositing software are costly and it is not affordable for individuals normally. This one comes with all professional tools, which we can see in market-leading software, and opensource makes this a marvelous product. thank you.
