I think this is a glance into the future.

What this app, and other similar services which are sure to follow (both fiat cash & blockchain) allow is for advertisers to pay the end consumer for their attention. They're cutting out the middle man - the Facebooks, TV stations, media companies.

As this model develops, you'll be asked to enter (unless they can access it anyway) your interests, lifestyle, income, etc. and will be served ads which speak to "your demo". The advertisers are getting a better deal, as no middle-man to pay, the consumer is getting a better deal, as they're getting paid to watch. Everyone's happy - or should I say happier.
