If you have a Mac that doesn't cut it in the graphics department and don't have the budget to spend a minimum of $5000 on a new iMac pro then the Blackmagic eGPU Pro is a better alternative. At $1199 it adds iMac pro graphics capabilities to your existing Mac for less than a quarter of the price. As long as your Mac as Thunderbolt 3 it will work with the Blackmagic eGPU Pro.

You’ll be able to run incredibly graphics-intensive workloads that were previously possible only on iMac Pro. The GPU has 8GB of HBM2 memory, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, four USB 3 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a DisplayPort 1.4 port, allowing for 85W of power to charge your MacBook Pro at the same time. The new Blackmagic eGPU Pro allows accelerated graphics-intensive pro app workflows and super smooth gaming, enables VR experiences or content creation, and supports multiple accessories for the ultimate workstation setup.

I didnt know there is this kind of tech available for MAC, and also its still pretty expensive. Well IMO, I'd rather go build a simple PC worth $1000. I have a PC 3 years old, still runs smoothly without errors.

ah it's the pro, verified.

The arrival of Blackmagic eGPU helps Mac users simplify the use of external eGPU. Currently there are many eGPU solutions on the market but most of them do not take full advantage of the hardware, even using tips to optimize performance. Blackmagic Design's products are geared towards the need for dedicated editing, 3D gaming or VR applications. The BlackMagic eGPU's design is very impressive with its metallic body combined with a nice top-of-the-way heat sink, while underneath it features a quadrilateral, which looks like a subwoofer. Statue for workspace. The cooling system operates at a noise level of about 18 dB, very quiet.

my bad, it's the pro version. thanks.

Congratulations!
