Steemit Adoption: How-To Setup an Ad-Campaign

in steemit-adoption •  8 years ago

Thanks to the recent generated revenue, I'm able to run some nice ad-campaigns on a budget.

We're all responsible for making steem a success, so I highly encourage anyone to follow my steps

Service

I will run ads for steem dollar exchanged to bitcoin via Bitmedia.

Reasons I chose BM:

  • actively fighting click fraud/cheats
  • well known and reliable

Setup

* Open an Account - Click Here

* Charge your account

  • Setup the Campaign

The Campaign

  • Add new Advertisement

Starting with a Text Ad, I prefer to make it sound funny. :)

Note: I use https://steemit.com/@ash?r=ash as link, add ?r=userid to get tracked on steemit, there's no money at the moment, but with a bit luck they start to support marketers

Next up: Image Ad

I use

for this Ad

Target

Back to the Campaign overview, we setup Geolocation. Goal is to catch English speaking countries, or those who understand it, so I include the Americas and exclude Asia Region. For all other regions I set a 20% "Buy traffic from other locations"

Finalizing

Fund your Campaign and wait for BM to review your ads!

That's it!

Nice. I was thinking about running crowd-sourced upvoted test ads on Facebook using the post's own proceeds. Feedback?

good idea. that's what I plan to do with this post as well :)

What the hey. I'll donate 2 Steem to your test marketing.

Thx, I'll add it to the campaign :)

"upvoted test ads on Facebook"

Next step..... Bill boards.... but kudos

I'm going to register right now

This is great. Good idea to show peple how to do this. the more exposure the better

absolutely. the more users the better :)

Good idea. This sort of initiative should help to draw more people to steemit. You maybe surprised how many may actually use this info.
