Another idea for steemit!

Hello everyone, I was thinking, it would be truly neat if we can see how many users "went over" our post when scrolling and how many actually clicked it a kind of statistics of our blog.

i will down-vote this! there were already 5 posts about this!

ups , upvoted it ;)

Seriously? Wouldn't have done it if I knew any.

He was teasing you!

Oh, LOL, thanks for the aclaration.

;) but there are really 3-5 posts already about this

Well, I guess that the reason of why it wasn't implemented yet is the same as why I didn't see them hence created a new one, thanks for the headsup, if you get the links let me know and I will add them while I can still edit

Would be great since it would allow to assess a view-to-upvote conversion rate. Very helpful to learn which content works best. With upvotes alone you never really know whether it was just a poor timing of submission.

Yeah a counter would be nice

Would be enough with a "viewed" counter if the post has been opened. Then users could see themselves the viewed to voted ratio and maybe become better over time with their quality.

I don't agree, not clicking it means that you have done something wrong with the title/picture/first lines of text, if you dont know the ratio between see/click you cannot know for sure if it was simply not broadcasted or not liked.

Ah, by "viewed" I meant people who had clicked and opened it.

But how would you know if someone has viewed it and then clicked on it seperately? Did you mean "viewed" as in just browsed through in the "new" section? That might be harder to implement.

Exactly, just appeard in the browse section of people. and how many actually accessed it inside, either by click or by external sources.

I've always wanted this as well. Maybe eventually when steemit moves in the dns directions it's claiming we'll get analytics info on our blog?

No idea, would be nice tho, like some basic seo tools for your blog.

Good idea! Though because all the content is on the blockchain, it can't be tracked. Anyone can connect to a blockchain node and query a post.

That is very true, but right now the tool that "tracks" the blockchain is mostly steemit, it gets most of the post traffic, and anyone could implement it in their site, it could be really useful since we most post/lurk thru' steemit
