I'm 30 days old...on steemit. What have I learned?

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

I started "blogging" on steemit 30 days ago and since then I managed to post 3-4 times a day, follow more than 400 other steemians and attract over 220 to follow me.

It was a long month I have to say in which I learned some things about blogging and about steemit. The most important thing that I learned is the diversity of users. I guess that we are ablout 1 million of users at the moment and everyone is unique.

I am sure that I can't get the attention of all the steemians with my posts, but I tried to diversify my subjects as much as I could. I have to say that I was very disappointed many times when I saw that some of the posts that I worked so much had no views or Upvotes.

These were important lessons for me as a new user teaching me that success and rewards require time, quality and lots of followers. Thus I try with every post to improve my writing, my topics and my blogs image.

Spending time on steemit I saw some desperate for Upvotes users that would post almost anything....literally anything, but some very good bloggers also. The first category I don't want to be a part of, but from the second I learned some valuable tricks and strategies and I'm still learning.

I have to admit that my expectations of rewards are by far unfulfilled...for the moment. Though I am confident that they pretty soon will change for the better. It's just a matter of time, self improvement and some "wealthy" attention from the right persons.

Interaction on the other hand is great. I got to exchange comments with great users from all around the world on so much subjects. I've had before facebook, instagram and I still have twitter, but it's not the same thing. Despite having no "messenger" the short conversations that I had on the platform were more precise and meaningful than on others.

After all the likes and pros I will share some of the cchanges that I consider this platform should have. First of all should have a daily limit of posts so it can assure quality and second the voting power should not be influenced by the amount of steem power that you have. That steem can be bought, but a wise eye and a sharp mind can't.

I would suggest that the voting power should be a result from only your Upvotes from other users. This way money won't make no one "trusty" and no voting power bought could be used to simply fight other users or Upvote yourself.

After all, I can say that I enjoyed my first 30 days spent on steemit and I am eager for more. I hope that my posts will be better and better with every day and at the same time attractive and appreciated. I consider this month as a good start and I hope we will all grow together on this blockchain based platform called steemit where we spend precious hours of our time posting and interacting.
