It had been one month since I joined Steemit. I cannot believe that I will last this long. I had a brief history of blogging with Blogger.com and making a website to do my blogging. Those ventures last not more than a few days. I am very thankful for @marketreport aka Gregory Mannarino for introducing me to this platform as I am watching his financial news report. Actually, I had known this platform a little earlier but I brushed it off and I am a little bit regretful about this decision. Anyways, it is good to be jumping on this platform now than later and using it as an opportunity to earn money and producing quality content.

My passion in reading and writing had shot up significantly since joining Steemit and of late, have not been playing computer games like I used to back in the heydays.

People had come and quit using this platform, for instance, @dezeazy, and I am quite disappointed about that because their posts did not generate so much profit. I want you newbies to understand that “Rome or my favourite empire, The Ottoman Empire, did not build in one day.” People don’t know you at all even if you are the best writer unless you had a following. You need to go out there, out of your comfort zone, commenting and upvoting on other people’s post whose publicity is much higher than yours. Your comments must be related to the blogs and comment thoughtful comments ,not like short ones like “Nice post” or “I like your post”. People would notice that you commented on their post and check you out.

I want to thank @taskmaster4450 for indirectly encouraging me to continue on with Steemit with his motivating articles and @swissclive for upvoting $6 on a comment I don’t remember because I also don’t remember that I participated in a contest. I merely asked him very nicely to visit my blog. This is a post “Up to $75 vote from me if you encourage newbies. Newbies can also get same for a good blog. Closes 26 December.”

I want to mention the fact that this two “anonymous” person who had a lot of SP had been upvoting some of my best content on my blog, @hr1 and his “assistant” @bue. They had motivated me to continue to produce content that I like. Thank you so much for your upvotes and supporting minnows like me who struggled to get my content in the vast world of Steemit.

In conclusion, I have a lot of schedules and content that I wanted to share with you driven partly by monetary incentives and trying to get my brand out in Steemit. Thank you Steemit at the bottom of heart to give light to my life.

As a celebration of my one month here in Steemit, I will pick a random winner using pick.esteem.ws who upvoted and commented on this post. The reward is only 1 SBD. The reward will be given at the end of seven days. I want to give back to the positive community who had done much.

any tips to attract others to read your article? I just want people take a glance of what i wrote :(

I think I can help you with that. Every religion would tell you to do unto others as you would have them do you. I am not a religious person but that is a very sound advice. I was engaging a steemian to day and I mentioned another steemian who said I could talk to him for help in a steemit community project I needed to do in his locality. Once I mentioned the person that referred me, he said, "Hey, do you know him? He is a great guy!"

"Nobody truly knows him. He prefers to remain anonymous. Some even say that he is a bot," I teased him.

"No. I don't think he is a bot. He is a wonderful human being. I wish I could become as popular as him on steemit and also earn higher rewards," he said.

"Can you tell me what exactly made you think that an anonymous steemit user that you have never met anywhere except steemit is not only a human being but a wonderful one?" I queried.

"Well, because of the way he talks to you and how helpful he always is," he returned. "As long as you are willing to engage, he will always reply."

"There lies the answer you seek," I said.

Life is not about you! It is about us, all of us.

People would not visit your post because of the quality of your posts, at least not for the first time. They will visit your post for the first time because you have made them feel great by your interaction, by how you have treated them, by how you have engaged, by your comments on their blog, on their friend's blog.

So, please, do not ask for help. Give help. You are quite capable of rendering help and you have all it takes. All other things shall be added unto you!

Whatever you expect of others, DO IT for them first. DO IT repeatedly without expecting anything.

I hope this has been informative for you and I hope you use it. All the best!

Great advice there! I dedicate 90% of my voting power on engaging and commenting on other people's post as this is a way for me to actually be seen as the type of writing and personality that we have. Thank you for stacking the advice on top of mine!

I couldn't help myself. I came to see what you have written and I stumbled on the question. I couldn't help but share what I found. You are doing very well. Thanks a lot for all your insightful comments. Be blessed.

Thank you! I try to do so :)

Hmm.. Im not sure about that. I am just like you a month ago. I meant I got a little headstart but other than that its hard. Start by posting quality content consistently and writing thoughtful comments on other blogs who had publicity. Don't be discouraged by the cents you are getting. I wish you happy posting!

Thanks a lot ! i think i have got some direction and i would keep posting my stories regardless of the upvotes:)

I'm glad you are sticking with it. I had never even heard of pick.esteem.ws before. What a great idea for a tool!

Thx clf! I heard it from the blogger @brandonfrye because he used it to reward random people who watch his content.

Congratulations for achieving this milestone!

Thx spark! I had followed you.

Good post. keep sharing @afiqsejuk
