An Egyptian village near Cairo on Tuesday witnessed a horrific crime that killed four people and injured 11 others.
Egyptian security sources said that a man opened fire on members of his family, killing 4 people and wounding five others in the village of Osim in Giza, adjacent to the capital, while security forces went to arrest him to carry out a verdict in a drug case.
According to Egyptian media, it was a family dispute, and the defendant opened fire on his family first, killing his parents, and then went out to the street and opened fire indiscriminately at pedestrians.
The Egyptian police said that the man fired again after the police arrived at the scene, wounding 6 others, including two policemen, and then died by police fire.
The security forces imposed a security cordon in the exchange of fire, and legal action was taken and a report was released and the prosecution took charge of the investigation.
