The future of SteemIt is very viable conditional with the development on the SteemIt itself. I can see the potential of knowledge being chosen in the top 20 on cryptocurrency list. This create some sort of Wiki-Crypto. The more blog or information fed into the system with the current algorithm cause more people to sign-in to participate in steemit blockchain.
I believe there are rumours of video will be used for blog / vlog as part of interactive steemit. For instance, imagine tutorial, information and visual were combined as one single voting system and the most useful knowledgeable being voted up and the less of it being voted down. This system help to represent to organise between knowledge and non-knowledge section.
One day there will be a war between SteemIt and facebook for information gathering.
