Resteem Study: A Wonderful Week in Review

in steemit •  8 years ago

As you know I conducted an experiment last week to see how useful the resteem feature is.  If not, you can check it out here https://steemit.com/steemit/@akrid/the-resteem-heard-around-the-world-expiriment-bonus
And the periodic updates:
12-hour-resteem-update, resteem-study-third-day-update, and resteem-study-five-days-35-resteems

The goal was to observe and report the effectiveness of steemits resteem feature.  Participants resteemed one of my posts and left a link so that I could resteem also.

I hope you all get the chance to view some of the awesome posts I  shared by these amazing steemates who participated in this study.  Thank you to all of my followers, who interacted with and resteemed posts I shared.  You guys are awesome!

Since the last update we have had 8 more resteems and reached a total of 5307 combined followers by 44 total shares.  I could not be more happy with these results!

whatamidoing, almvide, clevercreator, larutanton and mtgmisfit, ekavieka and flatearth have been sent a steem bonus since they got shoutouts from the person  who found this study because of them.
*Everyone else who took part has been given a small reward as well.
*A total of 10 SBD has been distributed for your participation.

Most resteems occurred within the first 12 hours of the original post or update.

When we first started this experiment I had 186 followers.  I now have 318.  You guys are the best!

My 4 posts received a total of 218 votes.

I resteemed 40 posts.  These posts received a total of 1252 upvotes combined so far.  There is still time before a lot of these close out.  Go check them out!

Every single person who participated in this study has had impressive follower growth!
At the time of resteem, we reached 5307 total followers.  If we were all to resteem today, we would now reach a total of 7843 followers combined!
Could you imagine if we all steemed up and got that many votes on a single post?  I think it would smash the current records.

Remember my friend who said he didn't care about resteems?  I think he does now, thanks to all of you.

Important!  This experiment has ended.  Thank you so much, I appreciate everyone who joined me!  I am looking forward to see what you will post next!

As always,

Thanks for stopping by

Great results! @akrid

HAHA This is great!

Resteemed! and followed.

Thank you! :-D

I'm nearly up to 100 followers. I think this project had something to do with it.

I'm glad to hear! I was happy to see that some participants even resteemed eachothers posts!

That's awesome :D Those connections are the kinds of thing that's nice to see as a side effect of these kinds of experiments XD

Absolutely. I can't wait to do more studies like this.

Fantastic study, clearly demonstrates the power of the resteem!

Thank you! I had such a great time doing it too.

That is really great and it shows in your posts, quality is made with engagement!

Absolutely! Engagement and participation is the most valuable currency on steemit for me xD

Incredible experiment, I guess this would encourage more people to resteem posts!

Yes, It was a lot of fun and I learned so much!

thank you so much for the reward, i am happy to be part of your study. i wish i could be part to make fun and happy for those who interact with me. and i always need support and advice from a more experienced steemian like you @akrid

You earned it ;-) Thank you so much for being a part of this. you even encouraged others to do the same! That is an excellent quality to have. Keep it up!

thank you so much. cheers

Nice... keep it going!

Thanks. I'll be doing many more studies in the future and encouraging interaction :-D

Very nice. It was fun!

Yes it was. Thank you for your part in it :-D

Very good idea , i love it ! And resteem this post :)

Hey, thanks! You are awesome :-)

@akrid what is your advice on resteeming post when new to Steemit. Would you suggest posting more personal content first and then resteeming along the way?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Good question! I don't think it has a limit because it's different for everybody, but maybe you should make sure you have an original post after resteeming other people. This way it's the first thing everyone sees when visiting your feed.
You should not resteem if you think it's bad content.

Okay. That's good advice. I plan to get more familiar with Steemit before resteeming a lot, but I like your idea and cause for resteeming. Also like that you are conducting experiments. I shall continue to follow you and your experiments!

Glad to hear. Best of luck to you! Let me know how it goes :-)

Yea thanks a ton for resteeming, started at i think 318, now at 553 followers, wish you the best, and resteemed, voted, keep up the great blogs!

Wow that is amazing my friend!!! You're an inspiration :-D

Nice work as usual

Thanks :-)
