My 2 Weeks Steemit Rewards Report, Lessons Learned & Advice

in steemit •  8 years ago  (edited)

Greetings and welcome to my 2 weeks Steemit rewards report, lessons learned and advice! I can't believe that it's already been 2 weeks since I've started writing on Steemtit and that I’ve written 19 blog posts so far excluding this one.

I joined Steemit 2 weeks ago today, and it's been a fun journey so far. Along my journey, I've learned a great deal regarding the social media aspect of Steemit, the currency, but most importantly, the future of Steemit and where we are all heading.

My second blog post on Steemit outlined my commitment to Steemit, and what's to be expected from me for the next 30 days. Here’s a quick fun fact: Before joining Steemit, I had never written a single blog post nor have I been this active on social media.

Watching from the sidelines, Steemit seemed like a no-brainer to me, so I immediately created an account and started blogging on a daily basis, and sharing my expertise and experiences with others on their blog posts. With so many people fellow bloggers encouraging me and upvoting my articles and comments, I kept it going ever since.

Why am I doing this? First is to show to my friends that Steemit is a social media platform that does reward content creators unlike other social media platforms, and second, because people like to check out how much other bloggers are making on Steemit.

The posts and comments that I've written and shared so far are much more than reward opportunities for me. Even though I haven't made leaps and bounds in rewards earned since I've started blogging and commenting regularly, my writing and confidence have improved, and the lessons that I'm learning along the way are priceless.

I have a lot of exciting things to share with you about my progress so far, so let’s get right to it!

Lessons Learned & Advice

So far it's been a great start for me on Steemit, and a great introduction to blogging. I've learned that not all blog posts, upvotes or comments will gain traction, and that's okay because the most important thing is to keep moving forward and contributing to the community and eventually I will have a breakthrough.

Below is a screenshot of a breakthrough that I had recently on a blog post that I commented on and offered my advice, experience, and expertise, and for that, I will be rewarded close to $250 in 3 weeks time.

My advice to anyone who feels like they are not making any progress on Steemit is to keep blogging on a regular basis and writing blog posts worth being thanked for and offer your expertise and experience by commenting and upvoting blog posts that resonate with you.

I appreciate you taking the time here today to read my blog post.

Until next time!

I will definitely take your advice to heart, as I begin brainstorming on material I want to blog about here on steemit. I find the advice articles to be ones that I specifically gravitate towards. It's been a pretty slow start for me, but once I get my feet wet, I'm sure I'll be more active and happy with the reward system. Thanks for being a part of the steemit community, albertfall. Looking forward to reading more of your content.

Thanks for the upvote, comment, and kind words @nexusvortex616!

Glad that you found my advice helpful, and I was hesitant on getting my feet wet as well but once I did, boy was I glad. The risk to reward ratio is a no-brainer, and the lessons we learn here are really priceless.

Just checked out your intro, and I look forward to reading more of your posts. Maybe you could write a blog post on what it's like being the co-host of an alternative media station/channel or write reviews on obscure books. Just a few ideas.

Thanks again for chiming in!

Thanks for the suggestions and I will definitely take those into serious consideration in the next oncoming weeks. =)

Keep it up. Your persistence will pay off.

Thanks @veryscience! Wish you much success as well.
