14. STEEMIT LESSON ( How to Upload a Profile Picture and Cover Photo)

Hello friends! 

So I have seen a new feature about uploading a cover for your Steemit account. Exciting times!!! As you can see mine is now updated to what I represent - My YUMMY FOOD.

I wanted to encourage everyone to upload a profile picture, this way you make your steemit account more personable and approachable and people will also recognise you not only by your username but also your picture. 

As you can see the circle is tiny, so make sure its a close up of your face and not you standing somewhere hugging a tree or with friends. LOL. I know it sounds silly, but trust me I've seen so many tinder profiles... that are just plain wrong. Just upload a normal face of yourself... preferably smiling :) 

Here is how you upload a profile picture. Click on your circle and then settings. 

Then upload a picture and paste the image link to where it says Profile Picture:

You can do the same thing with your cover photo. 

You can use any pictures you have but I strongly suggest you make it nicer. A really good application you can use to upload picture and create cover photos is https://www.canva.com. It is a free site to design images, logos and everything for social media. 

Now I have tried about 40 covers, to find which one works the best, and the one for twitter seems to fit the best for Steemit. So use that one.

Then design and add your writing or leave it black and upload it onto your profile.
