Now that hard fork 19 is live i found myself randomly giving out random percentage up votes. Starting today, instead of randomness, I will be giving you information with my up votes! From now on my up vote percentage will also tell you on a 10 point scale what I think of your post. Also don't be discouraged if you receive a lower percentage vote! I still up voted your post meaning I like it and I want to see more in the future. The lower percentage just means I think you can do better. Who knows perhaps this will catch on and we can all start improving our posts by getting more and more information about what our followers want and like!

A Perfect 10

What I look for in a post!

• Originals- This is the most important for me! I'm looking for original topics, ideas, photos, art, and experiences.

• Extra Effort- This could be posting in more than language, telling a story with a good amount of pictures, pictures and video, there are many ways to get bonus points from me in this category and score that 100% up vote. This is what I look for to differentiate between a 10 and a 7.

• Template- Even something as simple as short paragraph, picture and repeat several times works well! Just make sure your post looks good and keeps the reader interested.

• ________- Leaving blank for other criteria I think of in the future

This post is an easy 10/10. It has original pictures and thoughts! It tells a story with pictures and short thoughts, plus it's written for 2 languages. It looks clean and easy to follow despite the simple template. Save your work for where it really matters! Fantastic post @rea !

This post could use more original pictures in my opinion but I do appreciate the detail given through writing! It's just the 2 above clearly have a little more work and have the bonus of being written in 2 languages. Looking forward to more @kingmotan !

Another very good post but you can tell there was much more work put into the three posts above, that in my opinion makes a more captivating experience. Help us experience more of what your experiencing, can't wait for more posts @brnofre

Conclusion

The plan was to keep going to 1/10, but I realized giving very public constructive criticism to random strangers posts I found today might not go over the best. Plus I wouldn't want to discourage any new bloggers who are trying but just need time and practice! Any vote from me means I like your post and will probably be following you. Don't let one persons opinion, such as myself, ruin your day, if you think you did your very best and yet still didn't get a 100%.

The more effort we all put into curation, the better and better Steem will look to people just coming to the site for the first or 2nd time, which will help get loyal Steemians plus spread through word of mouth!

All of the bloggers highlighted are strangers to me and 2 of the 4 I was following before this post due to quality posts in the past. I'm now of course following all of them and I hope they appreciate the mentions! If you are one of these 4 bloggers and you wish to not be mentioned in this post please tell and I'll remove it as fast as possible! Any ideas for even a better curation system, or perhaps one more geared towards increasing the value of the website?
