HOW TO RECOVER YOUR STEEMIT PASSWORD ●▪▪● FOR CHROME USERS

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello steemians,
Its @amec here again today and today with another intresting tutorial on how to recover your steemit password on a chrome browser,aIlthough I made a post on how to recover your steemit password on firefox browser 3 months ago.

But i realised this wasnt sufficient enough because some steemians dont use firefox browser to access steemit, a good example is @thomasgift who forgot to save her password during registration and couldn't get my tutorial to work for her because she uses chrome browser and its slightly not done the same way.

So here I am making this second tutorial for steemit users using chrome browser, without wasting much time, lets get to business☺...here are the carefully explained procedures

STEP 1

Log in to your chrome browser and click on the little 3 dots at the top right corner.

STEP 2

After clicking on the 3 dots at the top right corner,a sub-menu will appear with this list of options, click on settings.

STEP 3

This screen will appear after clicking on settings, click on save passwords as illustrated in the screenshot image above.

STEP 4

Screenshot_2017-12-19-14-24-06.png

After clicking on save passwords, this screen will appear, click view and manage saved passwords as illustrated in the screenshot image

STEP 5

Screenshot_2017-12-19-14-24-22.png

After clicking on view and manage saved passwords, this new screen will appear, all you have to do is scroll down a bit,all the way down to where can see steemit...check the illustration below.

Screenshot_2017-12-19-15-21-28.png

Click on the eye symbol as illustrated to view your password, please note that for security reasons, you can't copy your password...you would have to write it down and back it up

Ok thats it for today guys,I hope this tutorial is explanatory enough and can help someone else, @thomasgift followed these instructions and successfully backed up her password

Special thanks to all my friends and everyone in general in the Nigerian community
