Steemit Wallets

I have seen some questions regarding this with just a few information so I decide to write a bit.

Fistful let me tell you there are different types of wallets.

  1. Online wallets (like the ones traders have)
  2. Mobile wallets
  3. Software (in your desktop) type wallets
  4. Paper Wallets
  5. Hardware wallets

All this types offer different levels of security if you want more guideline please let me know if you want me to write about security among the wallet types.

Which is the better one for Steemit?

Well that pretty much depends what you want to do. Let me explain myself, if you want to do trading the better will be you have your founding in a online wallet examples of it.

  • Poloniex
  • Brittex
  • LiveCoin
  • HitBTC

That will make you easier to move your crypt coins among different currencies. However if you look something like long term storage with some level of control this is where hardware wallets or paper wallets come in.

Hardware wallets allow you to store your cryptocoins safely in a device similar to an USB with a good level of security and only you that owns the device will have access.

Paper wallets is pretty much the same but in this case your keys to access to your founds are written in a piece of paper. For sure you can have them in a notepad or so but take care where you have this since can be stolen.
