The biggest take away for me is the plan.
It's simple but I often forget to do it.
In term of following building, regular posting is key: people will forget you if you don't post regularly (especially until they know you).
Yet most people (I included) rush into the first post enthusiastically, then a few weeks later another one, then a month later another one...then nothing.
Ironically, the same posts, released a bit more regularly would have a greater impact.
That's why I like your idea of plan and will try to implement it to my workflow.
In a perfect world, I'd write the articles in advance and release them progressively but more realistically, I'll prepare the outline of each of them and would complete it before release.
This helps also calibrating based on the response of the previous articles.
