Although the hack was worldwide there was a slightly different effect on us Indians. Apparently, some of my friends received messages via Facebook Messenger from their known friends asking for Money. The hackers gave a sob story and tried to solicit money from users.
I have said it before that I am not a heavy Facebook user, instead, I rarely log in. But after I received the call from my Friend I also logged in to check if I was safe. Fortunately for me, my account was safe and there were no such messages from /to me.
Now Mark Zuckerberg said that they are always under constant attack and very rarely the Malicious party succeeds and this was one of those Rare Times. But you also have to consider the fact that Facebook hardly had such a dent in their Repertoire before 2018 but since May 2018 they have already been breached twice. It definitely makes you think,
Is Facebook taking the necessary Precautions?
I didnt thought it would go that far and people would ask for money after hacking the accounts. My account was blocked two times, but I dont know if it had something to do with that or not. I am glad it is working again even I am not using it that much.

Facebook has a long history of hacker attacks that steal information and this is nothing new, new serious to put the necessary security for that does not happen
