Great initiative ash! Click rate a bit low?

Here's how my campaign on the Romanian blog is going so far, been running since last night.
Would be interesting also to see how many of those actually converted and signed up. Would be great if @ned can help.
Imgur

you have to use branded links like steemit.com?r=anduweb - and wait for @ned to provide stats :D

I passed it through steem.ly (https://steem.ly/hairomania). That's how I got the stats.
Landing page was a post in Romanian telling them a couple words about Steemit.

What are "normal" levels of ctr?

Is there a way to know the % of signups from these impressions? It's a shame that people still dont trust or dont want to know what steemit. i talk about this site and the steem, but people think its some kind of trick or something.

Yeah, as I stated. I need @ned to provide the steemit ?r=ash stats

sorry, i did not understand that part

most people are so used to thinking the only ways to earn are by selling or advertising online. they will come around eventually as they see you doing well.

That's true. Thing is that steemit's system is so innovative that scares people haha, getting paid in steem currency for posting and comment may sound crazy for some.

that's why I started with the crypto crowd. they can relate :)

@mialotia i wrote a post about how I got 50+ people to join it might be worth a read. I had the advantage that those i brought over had already got used to earning in other ways but i included some tips on how to bring 1 person over.

thanks, i'll check it out

Advertise STEEM DOLLARS. There is low demand for STEEM DOLLARS and without demand for STEEM DOLLARS there will be no easy way to spend the money earned or to cash out into Bitcoin.

Advertise the interest on the STEEM DOLLARS. Also figure out how to promote acceptance of STEEM DOLLARS. Without the STEEM DOLLARS, it will not matter how many bloggers STEEMIT has because there will be no easy way to spend what you earn and no way to cash out without negatively hurting the price of STEEM, which indirectly can reduce the amount of money your STEEM POWER is worth.

agree, we need a one-pager with $D highlight (10% APR and how it is actually legit) with some info on steem.

I'd add some of this posts earnings to a bounty for this

Well done, thank you for sharing the stats!

In addition I may suggest you to try a-ads.com network. It is a quite cheaper compared to Bitmedia, has country and language targeting and good convertion rate.

I've tried a-ads several times - it brings real traffic at affordable price.

sorry, but I think a-ads traffic is utter garbage. it's just unfiltered spam most of the times.

Hmmm, need referral stats to check the click conversions in different ad networks.

yeah, I'll start to add like ?r=ash-bitmedia and so on from now on

Freaking AWESOME!
I'm so glad to see people actually doing this now... If you'll allow me to give an idea (or two)
.
Unless your target is someone who's both a miner & proactive in social media the banner which I saw in your previous post will get the results it did. I'm not saying it wasn't a good banner because it was a great one! It's just that the target is too small.

I Think that (and this is going to get a bit abstract here) but... I think that if ads were served out to a more general audience with the hint that they could "Join the site that PAYS it's members just to blog" or any derivative of that then you'll probably see a big leap in CTR's and conversions.

Is it true? Yes.
Is it completely up-front... eh, mostly so that's enough for me.
Are you in any way lying? No

I'd run some ads myself but I have too much capital invested in other projects right now I'm simply unable to front the cash for it. But if I were going to do it I'd hit more mainstream targets like Reddit, Facebook, twitter... especially twitter! (and reddit) along with POF (plenty of fish) assuming they're accepting new ads, I know they closed down shop for a while... And pretty much any other place where a lot of "normal" people congregate who might be stay at home moms, unemployed folk, students, people with semi-decent down time... stuff like that.

Just food for thought anyway.. super awesome post and I'm excited to see people pro-actively putting their own efforts in to grow steemit.

I also still think that if a bunch of people were to start using Steemit-specific memes in other social media sites then over time a lot of people would grow curious and start coming in on their own just based off curiosity and all those impressive earnings on the front page!

Thanks for this great insight!

I will market to crypto crowd for another round (thanks to the upvotes / money this post has generated)

Maybe I'll stick with the text ad, that thing performed surprisingly well

However you plan on doing it I'm sure you'll keep upping those stats. This is a very inspiring post and I'm glad you took the time and effort, it's awesome.

well done bro, hope most of people think like you

I was in internet marketing since 8 years bro, I know how to run an ad compaign , I will do it when I start make money with steemit , I mean real money

[Mistake - Edited]

uh, you're aware that this is the part that goes to curators?

just checked back with people who know this stuff. this is ONLY the reward that's donated from curators to the author

It's a mistake, but we still don't know does editing affect payment.

Cool ! go ahead ! results will only grow ! Steemit develops and without advertising

Great stats and graphics to consider. Thanks a bunch for the sharing, namaste :)

That's great @ash!
