Av just been trying to relax and take some rest when a steemit female close friend of mine @maureen25 called me, complaining about not being able to log into her account anymore. Here's what she said:
Hello Austine am bittered, i just tried to log into my steemit account now but it keeps telling me incorrect password.
I am very sure that i never altered my password but am lost here.
I don't know what could have happened or the actual cause but please is there a way anyone can help me to regain access into my account?
That feels real bad
this is what Maureen just told me now on a phone call and unfortunately, I don't even know what to do to help help out of this situation.

I introduced @maureen25 into steemit. Although she is still a minnow, but please friends I need directives on the possible cause of the incorrect password issue and assistance on how she can regain access into her account.
This is not just one of the common but popular issues av witnessed twice on steemit.
The first account that I witnessed this issue is @hypris. A newbie introduced into steemit by myself, @nancy007 and @mickyscofield sometime early January this 2018.
The steemit account @hypris started reporting incorrect password, two weeks after his introductory post which made him unable to access his steemit account and he had to dump it and everything concerning participation on steemit completely @mickyscofield and @nancy007 are witnesses to this issue and now again its @maureen25

If she still can't, she should try password recovery.
