I'm running this latest series and getting back at it, to once again try and help new/veteran Steemians, boost engagement, learn some things, meet new people, all that good Community stuff.

Goals:

Encourage each other. Kindness. Community Building. Welcoming all Steemians with no Class Distinction. Friendship. Relationship Building.

I give people a place to legalize spammy blog post link dropping every week and build community a couple times LOL.

We can do more, if we help one another.

Please note -- I will have limited internet access for awhile -- so PLEASE do not be upset that I cannot reply right away, or to everyone. I am dealing with some changes, and will have limited time online and will be happy if I get a few blog posts up a week.

This has really upset some people but I do not force my opinions on others, or need to communicate every detail of my life or issues, most people do not care anyways. I invested around 10 hours or more a day on Steemit most of my first 13 mths here, I just do not have that time in my life right now, and that includes for replies and voting/curation.

Just so you know I have decided I am going to go to your 1st chapter one of these days and figure out where all this started.

I decided last week it would be a good idea for lots of reasons and one is just to figure out more about your book and get the baseline.

Plus, as my posts say all the time now, I cannot be on here / curate like I used to be able to do, but you have been very active with me and I appreciate that.

I enjoy your posts, and you yourself are a cool person and fun to talk to. And, you totally should read the book from the beginning. I had it all written and ready to publish on Amazon when I decided at the last minute to publish it here, instead, so it is a full-length novel (over 104,000 words....the typical novel goes between 60,000 and 100,000 words). I think you will enjoy it. It's the third novel I've written (the fourth is complete, as well, but in editing right now), and I think my writing gets tighter and more enjoyable to read the more I do it. I've learned to be less "wordy" and to show more, instead of tell.

It's a good story, and the people who have read it on and offline have said they enjoyed it. I think you will, too. And, if you do, you will have an idea of what Sarah is actually doing. Lol!

I just got done another of my self imposed physio sessions - it takes a lot out of me.

I wish I could get to everything I want to in life, but I just cannot, I know most people are the same or understand to some extent.

I am pouring everything I have left into my blog since the payouts have dropped and the collusion here worsened and most people suffered payout wise and keeping my daily goals on here is all I have now storing my crypto for the future with what the state is doing to me. As we have been over.

We got snowed on again overnight but the roads and snow cleared up quickly again and this weekend is s'posed to be spring like again.

It was like summer here one day last week, with +17C!!!

That is still cold for you guys hahaha!

I know what you mean with the lower payouts. When I first started on Steemit in August 2016, I could count on at least $100 per post, and often more. It completely replaced my freelance writing income for a couple of months, which was great, because it meant I could write about what I wanted and still pay my bills.

Then, I moved and took a break from Steemit for a few months while I got settled into the new place, and when I came back, payouts were around $30 or $40 per post. Not great, but not terrible, and still money I could use.

Then, I started the adoption process (an adoption that, sadly, fell through.....but, I'm going to be going for it again, soon....I can't have a biological kid without a surrogate, and those are insanely expensive, so adoption is the key for me). I left Steemit again for a while to focus on the adoption, and powered down what I had here, which gave me nice, helpful weekly payouts for a while.

When I came back to Steemit for the third time, which is where I'm at now, those payouts had gone down to $4 or $5 per post, even though my list of followers had grown in my absence and I immediately got back in touch with most of my former supporters and started posting links on SteemitChat like I used to.

I think maybe the difference is there weren't that many people here when I started, and now there are so many, it's hard to get a post noticed, even if you've been here for a while. I have so many ideas for other posts in addition to my novel chapters, but the financial incentive isn't there to do this full-time like I did at first. I would just be doing it for a hobby, and I don't know if I have time in my schedule for it. I'm trying to pay the bills while working on becoming a career novelist, and until that big break, I'm kind of scraping by at the moment. (I refuse to have a regular job....I can't do it....I don't follow orders, I hate making someone else rich on MY time, and traditional jobs just seem too much like being a prisoner to me....I've found the misery isn't worth it.)
